Basket Case July 30, 2010 02:13AM
After a failed "first" attempt, the Basket Case pulled for the heck of it.... WOW!!!! Looks like its gonna be the "ONE" to beat. Is the rumor true? Does he really have 4 turbo's? The anouncer said 3, but overheard people say he has 4. Nice looking rig. ... What were the sparks coming from when he started... they came from the mid section, underside.

Re: Basket Case and NTPA??? August 01, 2010 01:06AM
I know Basket Case does run with NTPA, but if did....

Would the tractor be legal for the NTPA LSS class, or does he have an engine larger than 505 or a hemi head/overhead cam where he would have to run in the NTPA (or PPL) heavy SS open/USS class?

Thanks

Re: Basket Case and NTPA??? August 01, 2010 06:50AM
The Basket Case has a cast iron head, so yes it is inline valves and push rods.

Re: Basket Case and NTPA??? August 02, 2010 01:18AM
Are you refering to the run at McLouth, the sled setting really was poor for their class and that caused the class in no way to be able to put on a good show for the fans, good sled operators can set the sled up for any track conditions, theise tractors were only weighing 6500 pounds, sled setting would have been about right for the 10000 pros.

Re: Basket Case and NTPA??? August 02, 2010 04:11AM
so novinger going 320+ with the same sled settings was a fluke? Haugs just could not get the motors to light saturday night. There was also a wet spot in the track. KNOW YOUR FACTS BEFORE YOU BASH THE SLED OPERATOR!

Re: Basket Case and NTPA??? August 02, 2010 05:13AM
where to find results for the pull?
