Covid here we go again in our small county-CDC July 28, 2021 03:03AM
CDC mandated mask wearing again in our small Pa. county with 0 cases yesterday and not more that 3 a day for the last 3 months. This is nuts. Our county has been under 10 for the most part of the last year +. I'll just go to the counties around me with higher cases to shop etc.. without needing a mask. We are vaccinated.
CDC science info is like the weather report. This country is sure slipping away from what it was founded- from Democracy to Socialisms- Communism then destruction.

The answer is simple... Don't comply. Support your local businesses but stand your ground. Just do your thing and be polite, but don't be a sheep. If they're jerks about it then just tell them you're taking your business somewhere else and leave. I stopped masking months before our state lifted the mandate. Yes, I'd get a dirty look a few times, but for the most part people were polite and I even got nods of approval. I was walking in Lowes one day and a guy looked at me and did a double take and I was expecting a confrontation and instead he tore off his mask and smiled. I'll wear one in a hospital or medical facility (even though data doesn't support the regulations) but other than that... I'm not going to comply.

Side Note: We are no longer accepting PayPal donations. They have changed their terms of service and stated they would fine PayPal users for spreading "misinformation" and "hate, violence, racial or other forms of intolerance that is discriminatory". PayPal did not provide definitions for some of these vague terms. Woke corporate policies regarding "misinformation" could result in an automatic fine of $2,500 which would have been removed directly from the customer’s PayPal account. PayPal did backdown from some of their policies but quietly implemented portions of them in later terms of service. A financial institute has no right to monitor social media accounts or speech. This is unacceptable and I'll no longer do business with PayPal.

Last year when it was mandated our local TSC had a guy right at the door. No mask stay out. I was wearing one on the last round but this time I've had it. We started going to fairs with our puller and haven't seen a mask but they are neighboring counties. This may really hurt our county fair. I'm not sure it can with stand another no show. Good luck to the rest of you.

JD43. Congratulations on using the C word. Communism. That's what it is. Few will say it. A start is to make clear to any elected official. If you are seen ,photographed, or heard supporting or complying with these ridiculous masks you will not receive my vote , nor the vote of as many as I can convince of your worthlessness as a leader. Regardless of party. Be you a senator or local dog catcher. We are under attack. We need leaders. You took an oath to uphold the constitution. Honor that oath & lead or go away. A small start to the fight to come if we have any hope of saving this nation. Right now we are losing & losing badly.

Yesterday, at the big PPL, IPL, farm stock, truck pull at Goshen, IN (the entertainment pulling bargain of all fairs), 3 boys that were selling popcorn, pop and water to the spectators, were wearing Trump 2024 hats. I visited with them for a bit. They knew their future depends on leaders like Trump and not what is currently happening with
the D.C. (also can mean DemoCommie) movement. Only 1 of the 3 will be old enough to vote in '24.
I was glad to see their enthusiasm of knowing what is really politically correct. And what it means to their future livilihood.

Wherever, I have been this late spring to current, in my travels of not just tractor/truck pulling, but several other things of interest to me, people just shake their head, and even verbally will talk about, of what is happening in this country.

In these travels, I see only a rare worn mask. And the surprising part of it, is who usually is wearing one - usally school students. And the second surprising ones are the
protective moms and their few year old young-uns. And this is like out in the store's parking lot and they are their own little island of people. I feel like telling her she is doing more harm to her children, then as if they were unmasked.
And of the few that are masked, I'm amazed at how many wear one while driving, even when no one else appers to be in the car. That makes absolutley no sense.

And remember, people, that is no one's business to ask you if you are vaccinated, as it is an invasion of the HIPAA health privacy laws. I'm surprised no one has turned that
into a lawsuit against the govenment's mandatory covid mandates.

This all falls under the Delta variant post I started. Unfortunately, I think that blue states, especially in the cities, are going to react this way. I mean, how long can a person or people be confined? People know the risks, they know about vaccine availability, they now about masks, etc. The messaging from the CDC, Fauci, Uncle Joe & administration is all over the place. Politics aside, you have to give Trump credit for advancing the vaccine through Warp Speed and their team was way better at their messaging. It was at rare times, slightly different, but basically everyone was on board no matter how badly the media tried to get them all to turn. Stop flip flopping, putting the vaccinated vs the unvaccinated. You’re not going to scare anyone to get a vaccine or pay them $100 (Joe, you have everyone hundreds of dollars for months, what’s $100?). Just stop already. It’s here. It’s going to be here. Vaccinated are getting sick, unvaccinated are getting sick - Joe’s fake news media is shaming America daily as well.

I’m calling it now. NFMS will be canceled and the fall fairs are in trouble too.

Well said Dave. The person wearing a mask in their car by themselves is one of my favorite things to see... I can't help but laugh inside at how stupid it is. They are completely missing the point. I was on a rare bike ride last week (no spare time) and I saw two cyclists on the edge of town riding 6' apart and wearing masks! The act of cycling on a road is approximately 100 billion times more risky than getting Covid outside. The other group of people I see wearing masks are 20-somethings. They are so scared of something that carries so little risk for them. My wife and kids and I took a trip to Niagara Falls a couple of months ago and the ONLY people wearing mask were 20-somethings.

The funniest I've seen was a man and wife in their 80's wearing masks riding in a 70's Little red express Dodge pickup going to town. I know them. They're a retired farm couple. I doubt very much he ever wore a mask while grinding his own feed or a respirator while spraying his crops for 50 years.
