3 Western MD counties petition state to become part of WV

I would love this to happen, but it requires approval by both states and the US Congress. It's a longshot, but would be great if it happened. Perhaps WV would get another congressman and Electoral Vote at the next census. Not sure which state would lose a seat and Electoral vote. |

My son lives in Northern Idaho, Western Washington and Oregon have been talking about joining Idaho because they don't like what the big cities on the coast are doing to their states. Parts of California have been going through this for years, 90% of the land mass in California would like to secede from the liberal big cities that control their lives. I'm pretty sure a lot of our pulling friends in Illinois would love for Chicago to be severed from the rest of the state!

This topic is a little funny to me. I think states rights are very important. So my question is where are all the Republican States and Republican Governors standing up against the Federal Government? Where are all these politicians in deeply red states standing against mask mandates and vaccine mandates? Where are all these red politicians standing against this overpowering overreaching federal government? Ron DeSantis is a Republican governer in a very, very, very purple state and he's about the only one who has any integrity to stand up against federal overreach. Abbott in Texas has been OK, but not near as strong. Reynold is Iowa is OK, Noem has been a mixed bag and has deeply failed in protecting womens sports, but where are the rest of them? The rest of the Governors or Senators in these deeply red states are almost guaranteed reelection but they still don't have the backbone to stand for their constituents. Cowards.
Also, these governors like DeSantis and Abbott... they are doing most things by executive order... where are the pathetic legislators in these states who actually pass laws? Are they all on vacation? We've had more than a year and a half with this and almost no laws have been passes to preserve freedoms... not even in states that have an overwhelming red majority. Where are the actual laws? Instead we all bow down to mandates and recommendations. Where did every law maker go? Even if these counties were able to change their state affiliation (it won't happen) what would it change? What difference does it make if only a small minority have the guts to stand up to federal overreach? Sadly states rights are dead, and it's mostly the fault of the cowardly states. Remember when Rosa Parks went on that bus and shot everyone? I don't. Remember when MLK Jr. pulled out his AK47 and shot everyone up? Yeah, neither do I. Rebellion and revolution doesn't need to be violent. Look at what's going on at school board meetings right now, average people are getting involved and putting pressure on these districts. Average people are running for school board and winning and pushing these Woke radicals out. That's what we need to be doing, getting involved even when we don't want to. Exactly. I mean who are we supposed to shoot anyhow ? For too many years we've had 2 parties working towards the same globalist authoritation system of government. One's job was to appeal to those with one mindset, the other to appeal to another & meet at the same end point. I' m happy to see those ships floating around in the harbor with their Chinese trinkets. If that's what it takes wake people up. If it takes exposing the disgusting torture of dogs to make people realize what a sick & twisted individual this Fauchi is, so be it. Unfortunately it took 2 kids getting raped in Virginia to shine a light on what I knew from personal experience 20 years ago. The arrogance, lieing, & anti parent attitude prevelant in these government schools is unbelievable. We have got to wake up. We are past the point of painless solutions. We need to rally around those opposing these shot mandates, rather we believe in the shot or not. If they pull this off, the president has been set. There is absolutely nothing they can not do in the name of a " crisis. " And they can always arrange one of those. |

Agree, those who have had the shot should be standing against the mandates (like Dan Bongino is). Those who wear masks should be standing against mandates. We should be standing for groups we disagree with as long as they are standing for Freedom. We should be defending speech we disagree with even if it's speech we detest.
