I totally disagree with you. No promoter would schedule 4 hooded classes at the same show. In fact there is only 1 NTPA event ( BG) that has all NTPA GN classes. I believe the Klint and Company have shown that there is definitely a place for a show that features mostly hooded classes. In fact organizations need multiple classes to fill several shows on the same dates. I'm n

Might need to take a look into maybe making the sleds a little tighter instead of running them out at 380-400 ft. make it a pull instead of who makes it the fastest down the track. would solve a lot of problems not just with minis but in all classes. JMO
Who has crashed one in a class going 380-400'? I'm still waiting for an answer on how many drawbars or hitch pin

How many mini rod hitches have broken since NTPA increased the minimum size of the drawbar pins? It is my understanding that the two flipping end over end this year have both simply came unhooked, correct?

River Belle is in Williams Grove PA with the Steam Show grounds. The Enforcer mini sled is still in Chambersburg PA owned by Franklin County Tractor Pullers. The two sleds are less than 50 miles apart.

Sascha,
Who owns the Try Again mini sled? Was it recently built or was it purchased from another country & rebuilt? It looks awful small to be running mini unlimiteds.

Look at the steering tires on the pan for her run, vs these other runs....
Iron Toy Mini Rod
V8 Deutz Mini Rod
Sleds work alot better when the pans are on the ground instead of riding on the steer tires. Wayyyyy too fast, case closed.

No technical rules are necessary. 1 change would do it. You're pulling off. That's it. You blow your stuff up and can't come back, that's on you. No one made you put the kill tune in. This sport here doesn't have the balls to do it though. No one will stand up in the driver's meeting and say here's a towel to cry into because we're doing thi

Thanks for the input guys, really appreciate it. So if I understand correctly when you guys are opening up the track a few days prior to put water down, are you packing it back in after it’s worked in with water or do you leave it disked up? Not talking day of the event but the time prior.
Pack it back, just like you're going to pull on it. Otherwise by leaving it open y

Are you only building the track & adding water the day of the pull? If so, try building the track the afternoon before, just like you're going to pull on it, or even do it 2 days before if the weather looks good. And by that I mean if your pull is Saturday afternoon, build the track Thursday evening, then again Friday evening, then again Saturday before your event. You'll need lots of w

North Carolina had "stock" classes from the beginning in 72 up through the mid 80's when a variation of Pro Stock was adopted. The stock classes always ran 5,7,9,12, & even 14 & 16 for a few years, and were always limited to a single charger with nothing more than an A pump, or whatever came factory on the tractor. There were some stocks that ran 30.5 tires (uncut) & I believe you could run

How many 10,000 lb pro stocks still have 1,000-2,000 lbs mounted under the center of the rearends? Used to about all of them did, but I'm sure with modern tire & horsepower technology some, or most of that has been moved up front?

I don't agree with 2wd settings being the same as a 2-3 engine RN mod class. The tire size makes the difference depending on the tracks. Maybe on a hard track they might be close, but it depends on how good of a RN mod class you have too. I usually run 2wd with 7 weights on the sled mostly with the trip all the way forward, usually run 8-10 with a RN mod with the trip quite a bit further bac

Why was there a pull off in Super Farm but not in Pro Stock?
Because the super farm winner let off the throttle on his first run, they set the mark at 248, and one other tractor passed that mark. The pro stocks burnt it in at 246.

So the strap idea is the first thing in this entire thread that has made any kind of sense. But I'm still not sure how we would attach it to the vehicle for a quick hook & unhook. And we're still extremely limited on space on a mini.

So the class that's literally so tight on weight we're using keychain rings on the kill switch which pull apart & fail... let's make them add a 20 lb (or more) safety hitch. Sure let's raise the weight to accommodate, but wait... that extra weight is on the wrong end of the tractor!
Hitch height on a mini is 13 inches, and more often than not the drawbar is set at 12 inche

It’s too late to fix it now, the cubic inch limit has always been too big. It took 20 years but enough technology and billet parts has made the 680 BB Deere with its large bore and huge valves pretty dominate. It should have been 620 in my opinion. The 5” outlaw class will be the premier single charger class within 5 years, a good portion of the 4.1’s will jump up and you’ll see a fe
