Does the Dorsett have a back plate IH style or is the bellhousing flange cast in? What about the 300?

ORVTPA in a nutshell is 370 alky & 466 smokers. Single 3x4 charger. Not positive but I think the weight is 6000 lbs.
My opinion is that this is evidence that alky & diesel can competitevly run together if they are running the same charger.

I'm not positive which series had the overdrive but I think JD discontinued the gearset. It a simple swap with the standard set - replace the input & output gears & turn the cluster gears over the other direction. I never heard about the finals being different so maybe they were just faster?

A GT47 is about the same as the S4/S400 & H3/HX60 at 3 x 3.2 or 3.4 but not a full 3 x 4. I don't think anything comes from any of the oems as 3 x 4.

How do you figure that open turbo keeps the builders out of it? Last I heard the open Pro turbos cost way more than any other turbo out there & they come out with a bigger & badder one every year for their favorite customers. The only turbo rule that keeps the builders out is a box turbo rule. Not saying this class should have one but expecially if you allow billet & Sigma pumps they will be t

How are the fairgrounds looking at Troy. Are the odds good, fair, or slim that the pull will happen Friday night? I'm sure they're taking care of the track but the pits are at the mercy of mother nature.

what are your rules? At low RPM's it's hard to beat stroke but if you have no CID limit there is no replacement for displacement.

Do you know that, or are you going by "Unlimited" because their previous "Unlimited" SS class did not allow OHC.

Did they open it up to OHC? Last I heard Long wanted nothing to do with DR or the Outlaws becasue they didn't allow OHC. If they didn't change that knocks out him, Meese, & possibly Cokerhams.

I can't say on the 3020 for sure but the 3010 rear is considerably smaller than the 4010. Gear centers are closer, final drives are smaller, width of the case is narrower, R&P is smaller. I don't have weights, but for them to be similar the casting would have to be much thicker.

How big (diameter of pattern) is the bolt circle that you're picking up? I can't give you numbers of what is big enogh or to small, but if there is not enough space between pulses the wave can get erratic at higher speeds.

PPL does not have a LSS class, at least not on their national tour. I presume some of their member states do, but I don't know about the rules.
Outlaw does not allow components, NTPA does.

They don't want or need the other 15 there. You go to the store to buy 15 bolts & they offer to give you 15 more. You say 'I don't need them & don't have a use for them'. They say 'we don't either, take them along'. Are you going to give them extra money for the bolts you don't want or need.

Not that I belive NTPA is looking out for the puller first, but he did have a valid point. I read in a racing magazine once that racers have to be saved from themselves; I'd say pullers are no different. Personal spending rises to meet income & it's no different in motorsports.
Once I was considering buying a Mod. I asked a mod puller how much it cost to maintain one (thinking how

The NASCAR reference was an example of a premier motorsports event that has the premier vehicle of it's type, not the most popular vehicle of it's type.
The only justification for having SF at NFMS is that it's a GN class & that doesn't mean I agree that it should be there. Whether SF should be a GN class is another debate for another thread.

IMHO the payout for any class in any organization is an indication of how many vehicles they want. If they only pay 5 places they don't want more than 7 or 8 in the class. If they only pay 10, they must only want 12-15.

First, there are a bunch of classes that run at 8500 lbs & as Mark says a bunch of different rules all called "Hot Farm" so you need to be much more specific. From what I've seen most of the small cube HF classes are dominated by IH & the big cube classes by BB Deere, neither makes for a good show.
Second, bombers are probably the most popular stock cars in the country. Why don't t

They were all pretty spread out in the pulloff. 9ft to second, another 11 to third, 8 more to fourth, & then the 19 to Esden.
Mining for Dollars won the pulloff by 30ft too though, so maybe the track was spreading them out.

SSO is 650 CID, overhead cams, hemi heads, & intercoolers are legal. As I recall HSS limits the alkys to 505 CID & no OHC. I don't know about the hemi heads & intercooler. Basically HSS is designed for the smokers to be competitive while they can't keep up in SSO at this time.
