Are you asking if they will physically bolt up like the 404/466/7.6/8.1? Yes
Can you interchange in stock applications? I don’t know.

Brent had an OHC, but it was on a 312 block so he probably wasn’t near 504. He also only ran 1 turbo and stayed mostly near MO so he didn’t make as many waves as Meese. He also had a 4 valve head on it before they were outlawed. I believe his big tractor wasn’t built until after the OHC was outlawed.
I’m pretty sure Brent built the engine in Masons Down and Dirty. Small engine like his 686

8.1 has same bore spacing as the 404/466/7.6 so bore limits would be the same. Generally 4-7/8, but may be able to go more in some lower power applications. Not sure why you wouldn’t want more than stock stroke if you are going for 600 or more.

So how long has DSS been dead? 20 years? 30 years? Why is it that PS ‘has to be fixed’ because the BBJD might take over the class, but I’ve never heard any proposals to resolve the fact that the DT466 has absolutely ruled the SS classes for over 3 decades?

No, the first 60 are oversized out of the mold, but must be corrected by Mitas and inspected to verify that they meet the rules. Future tires must meet the rules out of the mold.

I’ve pretty much stopped watching broadcast tv and now spend my down time keeping up with several YouTube channels. Most of the episodes I watch are around 30 minutes and the key, I believe is consistent content, especially as you build your following. You need to be putting out at least 1 video a w

An 8.1 is the same dimensions as a 404/466. The 9.0 might match the 619.

Which box charger? 3LM, GT42, or ???
Are you looking to have fun and finish respectable or run at the front?
With a 2500 RPM limit you are going to want more stroke. 8.1 crank or more.
Karl at Atlas should be able to set you up with the gears to turn a standard under drive quad into an overdrive with half the step up. The quad should hold up to a GT42, but the wet clutch wont last lon

I think you need to share more about this build. What engine are you using? What about head? NA? Factory rods or aluminum? Are you carb limited? Are others running this combo or are you blazing a trail?
Most factory cranks have some counterweight, but not enough to offset the weight of heavy factory diesel rods and pistons. I have seen some cranks with almost no factory counterweight.

I know Beer Money has been encouraging it, I wonder if teams having a YouTube channel with consistent content would help. I know my interest in drag racing has been rekindled due to Cletus McFarland, Steve Morris, and others putting good and consistent content on YouTube. I think we can reach and maybe interest the kids thru their phones but we have to go to them.

1. Could be done as IH6788 said, but requires same rules across all organizations which won’t happen for several reasons.
2. Announcer that is familiar with the classes and pullers. Good track groomed quickly. I like to see 6-15 vehicles in each class, 20 max
3. Depends upon the price. I’d watch it, but I’m not paying $20 per month.

How many turbos and how much boost? In theory there shouldn’t be any pressure building in this system, but I’m sure some pressure leaks past the turbo seal rings.

The air exiting the turbo is very turbulent, so I doubt that little bit of protrusion will disrupt flow significantly, but why don’t you grind the end of the weld bung to match the curve of the pipe?

I’ve always wondered if it’s sometimes injector failures. If the tip fails and it’s pumping a solid stream of fuel into the cylinder it could fill the bowl and hydraulic the cylinder pretty quickly.
This guy has a theory that it’s combustion lasting too far down the power stroke. The whole video is pretty interesting, his thoughts on the ‘danger zone’ start a little after 7:30 in this video

See Fig, you are kind of doing the same thing as the rule makers when you elude. Even your term ‘same plane’ is vague. The factory JD has the crank and pinion on the same vertical plane, but different horizontal planes. Which is what I presume you are eluding to. If some are dropping the engine on a JD so that the crank is inline with the pinion shaft like the factory IH & Ford as you seem to
