It shouldnt take much more than 4-5 turns from center. Is there any air in the system???? The smaller diameter the ram the faster it should move.

Your going to have to get a steering shaft machiened to the lenght you need it off the pump. you could use any steering wheel you want.

I got mine all put together Im very happy with the results!!!!!!!!!!! I had $480 for the helm pump, $200 for the cylinder, 2 hoses 8 feet long, 2 quick couplers I had in the shop, and about a 1/2 gallon of oil. Had to get a steering shaft machiened to go on the pump but other than that it was pretty painless!!!!!

A 55 series head has a 20cc cumbustion chamber in the head. A 40 series head is flat. So yes you will loose compression when putting on a 55 from a 40 series.

Were is there any more performance with a billet piston??? Just because your running a "stock" piston doesn't mean its "stock". And for the record Im not running the "best of everything". I make due with what I can afford. Thats funny you use some "XXXXX" screen name chicken sh!t. We put our own stuff together here Im not using the 1-800 methed. And for the record who is rebuilding though ou

If you can't keep a gt42 spolled up with 101 housing you have other issues. How much fuel were you running? a 98 housing is looser than a 101. A gt42 probley will run better than any turbonetics charger they got. Just my 2 cents.
