466 hot farm. Open rpm. My pump and turbo combination have no affect on the hydraulics, just wondering if the rpms will take the pump out. My chassis is a factory no TA 1566, so putting brakes on it is really a challenge. I would have to make top hats the size of 50 gallon drums to get over top of my planetaries!

If a guy was to convert from a 3000 rmp tractor to open rpms, how long could he expect a factory hydraulic pump to work? The tractor I have the concerns with is a factory no TA, but I do want to retain my power steering, and factory brake setup. Is it possible, or will I grenade my pump behind the mcv at the line?

I just spent $500 on one last month, but the flywheel will be the next challenge! Factory flywheel will run $700 to $800 depending on where you go looking.

Good morning guys and girls. Yesterday I bought two CDS 3x3 chargers. Both have CDS exhuast housings with the Ohio state emblem with "cds" cast on to the base. Both are a "t4" base. Both chargers are Holset compressor housings with Holset center sections. They look like hx-60 chargers to me. Circular bolt pattern to bolt on the exhaust pipe and everything. One Columbus housing is made excl

Bob is an unbelievable talent when it comes to cylinder head design and theory. A credit to the sport without question. I know as well as anyone else that a builder/supplier will not descriminate as to who or why a product is being sold. I'm sure that my friends that run Himes heads on there prostock tractors appreciate their availability. If they are purchaced and used in a class that d

269 casting number is the one you are referring to. Way bigger than the infamous 307 that good people spend way too much money for. The clear advantage to the 307 is that it fits easily under 66 series sheetmetal. Grab a 269 manifold off of an early 90's 245hp 466 with an air to air aftercooler, and try to shoehorn that under your tin!

I have an hx-82 on the bottom with an ht-100 on top. Builds a lot of boost, but takes cubes and fuel to feed it. Sounds like these guys have you on the right track. What do you guys think about throwing a 95 on top of a 74 for a more economically friendly twin?

Is there a twin countershaft transmission of choice out there for the component tractors? I was told that the front half of a rt-6613, or the 905c fuller would be the place to start. Anyone have any input, or is a Pro-fab/ SCS custom transmissions the only option. Weight is no concern, and I understand that some gears will have to be made. Please post any attempts that have proven successful,

Those were my thoughts. Turbo or non turbo I think it would be a fun little build. Pet project really. I have 806 frame rails and a 407 natural out of a 856 that I would like to use for something. A 360 wouldnt be to hard to locate either. With a ta eliminator, could the powerplant out of an 856 be bolted up to the rearend and pulled in light open farm classes?

Picked up a cheap 656 tractor with a gas motor. To make it a competative 6 to 7k lbs tractor would you be better of with a red diamond gas job, or look for a dt 360 motor. I only know of two of these in my area. One diesel and one on alcohol, and both running high rpms. Is there any around your neck of the woods that you would consider a well built light open farm tractor? Any advise would b

Everything about Blaine's tractor is extremely impressive. Great example of pride and craftsmanship. The misterious block is probably a return off of the injectors, but maybe Blaine would be the guy to ask about that! Great personality, and easy to get along with.

Sorry guys! I read the post and just assumed that the author knew the tractors. A 540 big twin is not a superfarm in anyones book, and If the "naughty" tractors are infact built along these lines, then I must congratulate them for their selection and applaude their efforts!

Regardless of how nice people are, superfarms have no business changing tires to hook with superstock tractors. A pull designed for fast paced showcase pulling like Louiville select extremely competative tractors that highlite the best tractors in the sport for each class. There was only room for 12 light supers for the entire show. How many superfarms were accepted? I'm not for sure on

Can't say whether this helps or hurts the above topic, but I am nearly finished with a Heavy Superstock Diesel that will run the region 3 circuit. It would be nice to run against other diesels as long as there are enough tractors to support the class, but if there aren't I'm sure rules will be altered like usual that will allow tractors of both bloodlines to co-exist on the same t
