I Realize this sounds impossible, but we really do need to discover way to do away with the Democrat and Republican parties. They buy and own politicians before they are even able to be elected. Candidates should run on their own merits and morals, not need to fall inline with a party.

I have recently been watching some YouTube pulling videos from the 80s and 90s. It begs me to ask, Has anyone written a book about the timeline of when many of our safety equipment, modifications, tire changes, etc.? I’m curious approximately what years we introduced things such as roll cages, double cut tires made especially for pulling, water injection, multi stage turbos, front axle suspension

I agree with everything you said Jake. No doubt that advertising sells more product and it’s those additional sales that increase profits and create ROI. If you don’t think that advertising and endorsements raise the cost of the food that we buy, then that is where we disagree.

Part of the reason that our groceries are higher than other countries is the added cost of the advertising and sponsorships that the major companies are spending. We all pay a big part of the salaries of overpaid professional athletes via the advertising dollar. If those professional teams needed to charge enough for attendance to pay those salaries, a ticket to a ball game would cost $1,000s. If

Wow Brandon! That is about 40% over normal, almost a crop and a half. That would explain a lot of the excess if it is a very big area. We had our second year in a row of an ugly drought.

We are required to certify all planted acres before July 1. Of the year they were planted, not two years later. Those certified numbers go into a computerized database. How is it that they can change? Another question is, what motive does the USDA have for Releasing bogus numbers?

Corn yelds in our area were approximately 80-90% of normal on irrigated, and 60-70% of normal on dryland in 2023. I’m curious if those of you from other states were much above normal, or how can our USDA throw this bombshell increase in yield and acres at us in January.

How much carbon is/ was being emitted each day this summer from the wild fires in Canada? Some things are out of our control. It is totally senseless to attempt to get carbon neutral when other countries are not working with us. Even if the US would eliminate 100% of man made emissions, it would not lower global temperatures by .1 degree in 10 years. We cannot win the climate battle alone and ev

Make as many things mobile as possible. Toolboxes, welder, lights. No matter how many lights you put on the ceiling, big machines always create shadows. Lights on rolling stands that can be moved work well. The one thing I would never be without in my shop is my forklift. I don’t have an overhead crane, not many things I can’t lift with the forklift, and it is very mobile. If you have a forklift,

The liberals and media have turned January 6 into trumps doomsday. No way he is going to get elected after too many people believe the fake media. Best we can hope for is he will push his supporters towards a great candidate that can be elected

When the government hands out Trillions of dollars, and that is Trillions with a capital T, inflation is inevitable. Remember, Trump started this by trying to kickstart our economy after Covid. And Biden just kept giving away more and more. When the Fed tries to control inflation by raising the interest rates to double what they were, recession is inevitable. When you get together for Thanksgivin

I've always thought that if the sled was able to preset a desired tension to the pull chain and partially propell itself for the first 75-100' it would help them not spin the tires so bad. But then that would require more weight to stop them after an easy start, probably create controversy of sled operater control, and a lot more sophisticated sled, which likely lead to more break downs

Biggest issue I see with the sandpile is when the flag man waves you and you shut down with your front tires in the sand, then the next couple guys that he waves do not shut down, and go further and there is not a pull off. He just rewarded the guy who disobeyed the flag man with the win and penalized the person who shut down

I can remember. Growing up, our Sundays were a day of rest and enjoyment. We usually got together with some neighbor kids and played ball or something fun. That was back when we had a farm with six or eight kids on every quarter section. Now we are lucky if there are five kids in 10 square miles. It does disturb me that so many act as if Sunday is just another day of the week. I agree we don

Great idea for a topic. I started pulling my dad's 1655 Oliver in 1982 just after I graduated high school. I remember thinking what a big deal it was to strip the three point off to make that 7500 pound class. The next year I started pulling a 1086 in farm stock. My dad always said it was a waste of time and money. When we had children I gave up pulling for about 10 or 15 years. When my

I think these latest actions will likely help to slow infection rate for the general public or keep it lower longer, but I think the gate was left open too long, and if we believe we can actually contain this virus and keep the infection rate below 10%, we are absolutely dreaming. The time to keep this virus in check was a week ago. It is too late to stop the spread now. Possibly it will be simi

Great information Jake!! I am only speculating, none of this is fact. I believe that the mortality statistic is high because there are many more cases that have not been tested. I think if we able to test more we would find this virus has Infected more than we have know. We do have the perfect storm for spread across the nation with the basketball tournaments happening soon. I agree with you "old case guy". I miss those days also. Many different names for many different classes, hard to understand the name "farm stock". Unfortunately the last farm stock that we put out was about 500 hp and pulled road gear in 9000 lb class. Advice to 1456, if your looking to build a high power engine, unless you're running 14,000 pounds, you're going to need faster than t

Only session we were able to watch was Friday afternoon. Had some great tractors. Most impressive thing was the sled setting and how fast they put 40 to 50 tractors through in less than three hours. Time to change settings between classes was less than 10 minutes and each time the setting was right on. The best of them put the front tires on the edge of the sand. Very well organized !!
