Personally I don't think there should be closed pits at any event. You can go to the largest pull in the world (Bowling Green) and wander around in the pits. You should be able to wander around in the pits at EVERY event. If BG can do it I'm sure every regional/state/brush pull can manage to do the same. Part of the appeal of the sport to me when I was a kid was

My wife decided to home school our children back in about 1990. Our daughter had 2 years of public INDOCTRINATION!!! And our son never stepped foot into the world of public INDOCTRINATION. Our local school has avoided the woke ideology but we also have graduating classes of about 120-130.
It seems my parents did the right thing by encouraging me to learn history. Reading history books is the best way to teach children. They can form political opinions from there but at least they'll be educated on the FACTS when they do form an opinion.

Sad to hear that kids as young as kindergarten are having left wing ideology crammed down their throats. If they are starting that young I can only imagine what your district is teaching high school kids.
Unfortunately, it seems that left wing ideas are forced upon kids and if you speak out against it you're just a racist, xenophobic, antigay etc etc......

I can only relate a few observations / experiences with our small rural district in Ohio. Keep in mind this was 20 + years ago. One, is at least in these smaller districts, the boards are clueless. They are ordinary working people trying to help out. The Superintendent sets the agenda & runs the show. Board meetings are a joke. The Superintendent leads his 5 sheep in. After the ceremon

That ain't FARM STOCK.
I shouldn't give a crap since it a brush pull deal, but you are ALL shitting yourselves by calling it farm stock.
At least it would make more sense to call it too hot to farm, but that is the most ridiculous name in all of tractor pulling.
It should be called " I built a tractor the way I wanted, then invented a class just for it so I can win"

Not sure why the “no press steel” isn’t farm stock? It’s a factory option on pretty much all tractors from the mid 60s and up
Yep, that is so.
My 95 hp. '06 6420 Deere doesn't have the strait axel , it has the flange axel with pressed steel centers.

Well, can't help ya there as I live in N. central Ohio..
You might want to check out "Yesterdays Tractors" website. There's a sub forum regarding tractor pulling on there. Might be useful in finding the type of pulling I was talking about.
I go by the same forum name there, as I do here.
Send me a pm from this site sometime.

What would be really cool and I'm surprised no one is doing this would be to put a strain gauge on the hook of the sled and measure the tension force in pounds. This would be really interesting for the fans to see on a big screen because it would show them clearly the difference between the classes when it comes to how much the sled is loaded and working against the puller

Nabraska uses such a vehicle to test tractors, and pretty large and heavy ones at that.
I'd say one could stop anything , right up to super stock or unl. mod with no problem.
