I guess the no intercooler leaves us out. We ran without one while ours was getting repaired and I couldn't really see the hp. difference. No one can tell me what the difference should be in numbers. I guess the main thing is we would have to run more water injection but not real sure on that as the data-logger didn't see that much difference in temp. with or without the cooler. New Yo

Thanks I will be contacting you. I didn't know Interstate had a hot farm class so I will need lots of info. We are currently running the former East Coast boxed turbo so I'm not sure how that compares to S475. What are your cube rules ?

I was looking through career pullers list on Pullers Reference site (Can get link on this site) and saw Gregg Ferringer and the LPS 4255 called Smokin John out of Dayton Pa. Does he still have it ? If not where is it ? Just curious. I also saw Hoyt had a tractor called Broadway Express before his current line up. I guess I forgot about that tractor. Neat to look at the list and see the years pull

We bought a 466 Hot Farm this summer which was a previous East Coast Hot Farm. It sat a few years and was outdated but was a very good tractor and well represented by the seller. We are still learning how to get the most out of it without breaking the bank. We've only had one actual Hot Farm class hook with Snyder County pullers. We were 12th out of I think 15. Some Interstate Pro-Farms ran

We have a tractor running a 600 cc A pump and to get more fuel we need to go to a larger cc pump. I keep thinking about why do we need more cc's when we don't use the 600 that we have now. The pump is returning a lot of fuel to the tank. Why can't we better or should I say more efficiently use the fuel rather than send it back to the tank. With say an 800 cc pump will it just send

I don't know but I do know that I saw 2 new tractors with Firestones of the same type but one had more height than the other. I was told factories have different molds.

Not crying just a fact. Just like going up against any 466 with the big IH pump or JD with an A pump.. A 404 with the right parts can be a lot of fun and it won't break your bank account.

.025 tips on KDL injectors ,093 lines, 450 head for the pump with some special work done like locking the advance. Needs to be done by someone who knows those pumps. I made other small gains by putting bigger feed lines from the tank to the pump and advancing the timing. I think I ended up around 20 deg. advanced. I got injectors, lines and the pump from Columbus 17 years ago but had the pump red

I started out pulling with a 3130. I got it down just under 9000. I still had the original wheels and really didn't try to get down any lower. I would think with stamped wheels, light fenders, no 3pt and no rockshaft if it's allowed not to have you could get to 7500. Lower than that I don't know. I'm not sure what dealing with the rest means. You know you can turbo it and be l

A foam cup is just that. It's foam and a cheap foam cup might be a lot thinner and out of poor grade material vs. another cup. Was a foam cup test done on any other tractors ? If so what was that result ? I quit the farm classes a few years ago because of all the BS, poor rules and poor or no rule enforcement. I thought about going SF for sometime but I guess the BS is the same. I'll s

First off I can only speak for my little part of the country. Let's take a walk back in time. Tractor pulling originated with one farmer pulling drawbar to drawbar with a neighbor. For the first few decades it was a farmer oriented sport of pride vs. pride with a basic tractor. Even through the 70's it was any ones game who was a motor head. The first then "Super stock" that I knew of w

I could see tethering a front wheel but not the rear drive wheel. I'm no expert but trying to stop that large of a tire/wheel at the speed they are turning could lead to a bigger disaster when you snag that kind of momentum. Like maybe even getting under the tractor and flipping it violently. A lot of research and testing would need to be done. Bottom line it's a motor sport and all non

Dave I didn't know they had pulls in Appalachian NY. Neat. I'm about 30 miles south of there in Pa. Our 1st experience at seeing pulls was at the Harford Pa. fair in the mid 70's. A friend of mine George Kuback pulled a 5020 against the Blue Mule of the Snyders out of Tamagua Pa. They were the first Super Stocks I can remember. George pulled at Syracuse too but I don't know
