To me, putting the solar panels over good crop ground is a huge waste. If you want to put them on top of buildings or things like that, go for it. I think the bigger problem is these contracts. They are guaranteeing big money for long terms, but what happens when they go bankrupt.

Clark we have them going up all over up here in northwestern corner of Illinois. I heard lease was around 800-900 an acre fo 30 years. You can't farm it for the price there paying. Just wait a few years , people think grocery store prices are high now.
And that's why I won't LEASE anything to anyone that wants to put a "permanent" structure on grou

You have a big power source sprouting up south of Lincoln Clark.... lol Hope you and your neighbors go kick that guys gluteos maximus for selling that land. All prime Logan County Illinois farmland now rendered useless by solar farm. How many acres is that thing Clark?
I am not sure the land was sold. It may have been leased.

If you don't have your electric motor ready for your pulling vehicle yet then you are a knuckle dragger. I have one on order(I don't remember who I ordered it from) and it comes with an intercooler and 4 turbos but no batteries.

this could be fixed but an agenda is attached to a crisis, again.
That is a VERY good statement right there that I agree with. I won't forget what happened to fuel prices here in Illinois the day hurricane Katrina hit the gulf coast in 2005.

Well I farm so I have to pay what ever it is but I sure don't like it. I filled all our storage tanks last fall. It won't effect the little bit of pulling we do. I need the pulling fun to forget all the rest of the craziness.
Yes I know what you are saying as I am a farmer also. I filled my road fuel tank about 2 weeks ago before fuel skyrocketed. Before the end of the 2021

Proshawnss, Yeah I think they made about 4 different styles for the Magnums. The ones I showed the link to are the original Magnum weights from the original Magnum tractors. And those are the ones I broke in the field. After I found out I broke them I called the shop foreman at our local dealership and he told me that it was a common problem and that I'd better find where I lost them. I said

I am replying to Confused and no one else. We really wanted to go. Parts is a BIG thing for many. For us, the winter weather has not been kind. I have had to take care of many neighbors drive ways and that takes time away from me being able to work on ours. Another thing is my wife and I are trying our best to help my Aunt that lives in our other house and she is 94 years of age. Dana has a job a

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I don't like the look of them and the way they hang. I thought of actually hanging them by the hand notch or something. I'm low on IH weights and may find a spot on the belly bracket for a permanent weight and secure with rods/bolts and use the IH weights to move around.
If you are going to hang them permanently through the handle, that would

Try not to use those. You have good reason to fear losing them. I have broken them in the field. What stopped that was tying them together with threaded rod through the top handles with a flat piece of 3/8"s steel on each end. I have not broken any since doing that, but that wouldn't be very handy for a pulling application. And if you put them on the front and happen to drop the front end ha

ITPA never did away with the farmstock class. It evolved into 9500 profarm. Most farm stock classes have or will sooner or later evolve into the same thing. I started out with a rotary pump farmstock, I have absolutely no desire to go backwards. Having run both classes I can attest that farmstock was no cheaper, and had far less safety.
Good post and you nailed it!

Yeah that's what I figured. lol Now with that said I suggest that you get ahold of an ITPA board member and tell that board member what you would like to add to ITPA. It won't happen for 2022, I guarantee it. The reason I know that is because these decisions have to be made dur

I’m glad the farm show is back but it’s super disappointing to see nothing has changed, sound system is crap, concessions are crap, seats are still crap & sled setting have been inexcusable and ruined several classes.

I really thought tonights SHOW was pretty good. Now with that said I could tell that the track was not that great at the beginning of the show. It did get better during the first class but then went away during the last class. I am not complaining at all because I know that's what happens in pulling.
