It has always amazed me what would possess anyone to want a huge cubic inch engine. They are expensive and unreliable. It seems to me there is an opportunity here for a reasonable change in these single charger classes. There are basically 3 group's here; 1200 to 1500 hp 2000 to 3000 hp and 3500+ hp. At 1200 to 1500hp cast iron and 510 inches has proven to be a good combina

This is another fine example of the police trying to push there weight around. Im all for law and order. But someone on that department should remember there oath they took to the constitution. This is why one has to take a stand for there rights. i truly hope that the fairboard gets to the bottom of this and corrects it

We brought up this problem in the late 90s at Wolverine and they wouldn't even discuss it the phase was we've spent the money and we're not going backwards. All we wanted was a difference between grand national and region or state super stocks but instead they created super farm what a great fix that was

Lewis. It seems like a lot of pullers have forgotten who they are really out there for. It is the fans who come to see you that buy the tickets if you dont keep them coming back you will not have anywhere to go pull your big dollar tractors. There's a lot of difference between everyday pulling (state and regional) and bowling green and TOMAH chapel hill est. Not every

There is already a mixed class llss they have smaller cubes on the gas burners and different diesel sizes depending upon the combination you are running usually there is a gas burner advantage but it seems to be under control so far and seems to be a crowd pleasing class. look at what works this came from a group of men who were not only interested in there own tractor s

The Michigan stopper was built in the 70s by ronny Ellis and some others from the monroe Michigan area it was a dodge truck with the transfer box on the truck and it would drive up on the sled and hook to a 5th wheel plate

I would advise caution in making any rash judgment on this mixing of tractors team one has a good point. this little experiment was made over 30 yrs ago and was no success then . I feel all that will happen is history will repeat itself. both classes have been let run wild for so long that they are now to a point where only a select few can follow. when summer pulling starts I

I have no dog in this hunt but I have watched this for a long time and I don't understand why in the region and state why 3 Chevy vs 2 big hemis was gotten away from. It seems to me that at this level you could encourage others combinations allison's turbins turbo charged ag engines.you don't need 200000$ tractors to put on a region and state event. If you want

Yes but as in horse racing you don't cut up the horse these smaller more regulated classes mite benefit from some of these things. After all if you're going to go out and spend a 100000.$ plus you should be in a class that reflects that investment. Many will whine and complain about what I bring up here but if we want this sport to continue. we must have classes like llss

I believe that's one reason llss keeps gaining ground every year. it's by no means a perfect solution but for the average working person (this is why I'm building one) it offers a chance to still have fun and not as likely to cause a divorce or bankruptcy remember this is a sport

All these points have merit at one place or another but remember this is still a show for the promoter and the fans. This is business pure and simple. If you want people to build tractors and participate there must be a fair playing field if you want spectators in the stands you must have something to offer the average person in the stands does know the difference between a 2

Andy is right on the money. Both of these classes have been a mess for years. who in there right mind wood allow 650 cubes unlimited turbo sizes unlimited injection pumps . I bet there's no one in the class that enjoys writing the 20000+$ check for these big pumps. this class is going to a place almost no one can follow .there's not much more impressive than a big super

Cut the cubes and turbo and pump sizes back to a reasonable and sustainable size so they last more then 3 or 4 passes and maybe more would have a interest in the ss classes. ( I mean both of them )

Llss was and is not intended to be a GN class the class really doesn't need that headache to survive. Sure it would be cool to see them at BG or TOMAH. And I would go. but the class will make it where it has following anyway I think for llss and some others they should focus on putting on a good show for the fans and the promoter so they will have us back next year. this me
