I have a front feed Marine manifold on my tractor which is quite large. The front feed works good with my inter-cooler set up. I also have a center feed Marine manifold that I would sell for $600 that may work for you. The front feed ones are usually $1000- $1500. The center feed 4450 manifold I thought worked quite well for me before I put the inter-cooler on. Call me if you're interested.

Thanks for the imput. I do have a stainless braided line from the distribution block to the preasure sensor but have not been concerned about the routing. The sensor is mounted on a braket that is bolted to the block. Maybe the problem. That's the way I had it with my electric system with no problems but lower preasures. I like the idea of a sensor before the valve to check flow and will get

My water injection system preasures jumps around alot. It's a superfarm setup with a 5 gallon pump and am I am using 2 nozzles rated at 765cc@ 1000psi. I am running a 1:1 drive ratio (32 cog) on a 300RPM tractor. After the valve kicks in at 35 psi of boost the computer readout jumps from 500 psi to a temperary flatline at 1100cc and back down to 650ccs or so with only a small chage in boost.

From what I am told (you always have to wonder) the BSTP Pro Farm class with a smooth cover 3x4 turbo and a cooler are running 1300 HP or so. The SF guys that I know are at peak torque and HP at 24-2600 rpm. These guys are NTPA rules and often get kicked when they pull together. RPM helps but I think It's most important in lower cube classes or at a higher level of competition.

I realize all posts here need to be taken with a grain of salt but once in a while there is a good technical discussion on some aspect of pulling on here. To bad its so infrequent. I like most of the threads on here but I wish some of these people would just text, e-mail or call each other so they don't clutter up the site. Seems a lot of those people are from Wisconsin (so am I).

That kind of comes back to my question on crank center to deck height. Is an 8.1 taller allowing either more stroke or a longer rod?

Ya that's always the rub. I have always tried to do things right the first time but I don't drive a Cadillac. For this class I wouldn't think we need the #1 plan (all billet) but with 2 cracked welded cranks so far I'm ready to go back to the drawing board.

Any more ideas out there. There's lots of ways to skin the cat. I need help weighing the pros and cons of each.

I have both an older 466 block and an 8.1. Witch should I start with? Is there a difference in the crank centerline to top deck height? No deck plates for us. What crank? What rods? Is it worth it to use an IH or Cummins crank? This is for a 1000+ hp 3000 rpm class. TIA

Just a few comments on P.I. I pull in the hotfarm class and really enjoy our group. I just talked to Gary, our board president and everything is a go for our banquet on Jan 8th at Ho- Chunk casino. Membership in our group is $125 that night and comes with 2 meals and no hook fees for the year. We also have a year end points fund, usually $200 to win at each pull and pay back 8 places. The last 2

No, gemo will not buy any tires that are at all questionable. I have been offered several sets that are shaved at little ( no one could ever tell ) but I don't like Vince Lombardi and his " winning is the only thing " quote. A person's integrity means a lot more to me.

I'm looking for a set of 20.8 by 38 radial tires. No cutting of tires at all in our class. Which is better the BFG or the super all traction Firestone? I ran BFGs last year with very little tread and they worked great but I seem to be over powering them this year. TIA

Besides teaching your daughter the thrills of tractor pulling please teach her the difference between see, seen and saw when using the English language. Proper language usage makes us all look better and gains our sport respect!

After the first time when the rocker arm shaft broke we went to a tool steel shaft and over head oiling. I don't think that the shaft is bent. It's amazing what that shaft has withstood.

I have a SBJD in a hot farm class, 640, 2.75 x 3.0 slotted charger, 3000 rpm, P pump, water no cooler. runs pretty good but have broken rocker arm assembly hold down bolts (billet hold downs ) several times, one time idling in the yard ( 7/16 x 2" grade 8 ) . This winter we drilled and tapped the holes to 1/2" used 1/2 x 3 1/2 hard set screws and thought we had it solved. Thursday night our associ
