Clean original 666 IH tractor. One owner, local tractor. Runs great. Tractor did have a dash fire a few years ago, dash was replaced but never finished up. Will need a few odds & ends. Floorboard & old dash come with it. We just don’t have time to get it thru the shop at the moment. Would be a nice collector tractor or pulling tractor.

9700 Ford Tractor, factory open station with 2 post canopy. Runs good, shifters are a little loose but all of the gears seem to be there. Dual power does shift. Clean sheetmetal. Make a nice restoration or puller candidate.

But there’s one thing to keep in mind….. the guys @ Chaos don’t only build top notch tractors, they will help you too! A lot of times big ticket projects scare the average guy from even asking a shop for help, but they are some of the most down to earth guys & if you have a direction you want to go, they will bend over backwards to help you get there!

There’s pullers crammed in every nook & cranny of the fairgrounds. You’ll have to sort thru all the cow barns, campers & pickups to find all the pullers, then some may be parked in the field down the road.

It will go as light as your pocket book will allow. Aluminum heads, blocks, adapter plates, front covers, axel housings, top covers, sheetmetal, wheels, front frame, flywheel, etc. All of that is out there along with some extensive machine work on the cast housings. I’ve seen a GVI moline weigh 4500 & a D21 AC make 5000lb so there’s no reason a 560 couldn’t see 3500lb

I honestly don’t see how a dang sled holds up. I’ve rode in several & it can get rough. We all know how had it it is to keep a pulling vehicle running after just making one pass a night, much less 40 passes a night. For as many hooks as sleds do across the country every year, the number of accidents is very low.

Seems that an 8.3 in an Oliver would be way more legal than a 2.8 turbo in a 2.3 class? What’s a “special” 3x3 anyway? Lmao

Here’s a little test. Next time you’re at a pull, take a rough count of how many actual fans are walking thru the pits & actually looking at the equipment. Then when the show starts, look at the crowd. This will give you a rough ratio of how many actual gear heads/technical fans are there. We as pullers get lost in our own little world thinking that everyone who comes to a pull is as passiona

The average person sitting in the stands does not care what size tires or turbos or blowers whatever is going down the track has on it. They are there for a social event. So many times we as pullers think that they (the fans) care more than they actually do about what we are doing. I’ve seen this first hand by promoting events & also participating. If you want to take things to the next level

My question is......why are the TWD & Mini guys anymore special than the tractor guys? For years, the tractor guys have been plagued with yearly tire & turbo upgrades that are just as hard or harder on driveline components & WAYYYYY more expensive, but nobody seems to have given a damn how much it has costed them. This tire deal really shines a spotlight on where the influence in NTPA comes fro

So…… the whole head size thing is now gone along with the OEM injector angle rule? Doesn’t it make you a tad bit concerned at how easily they can just make rules up & take rules away without much or any blessing from the congregation? If you have ever thought that your opinion doesn’t really matter as a paid member of NTPA, that thought seems to have been solidified right here. Kinda reminds me

Funny story…. First time we went to BG, we were ready to take the 4wd truck thru the tech barn. We was ready to pump the engine, measure everything & all about the only thing they really looked at was my helmet…… and it was out of date. Lol. Scrambling for an in date helmet was the last thing on our minds but that’s the direction we headed.
