I've seen pullers use a shorter than stock oil filter on ih tractors to ease clearance of side shields. Does anyone have the brand and filter number for this? Thanks in advance

Why outlaw a fuel that comes from the farm and many of us are trying to promote? I've ran corn oil all year and understand the drawbacks ,but don't like it,don't run it.

I pull a hot farmstock and with the factory big brakes a 14 has,and they are a little grabby and not real quick to release. I realize the willwood setup is great but I want to stay with the factory pedals, and preferably the factory master cylinder. Sould I put the smaller 1066 brakes on .or ive heard or guys taking out a disk. Is there a way to make the brakes quicker by oil flow mods? Thanks

Im with you Jim. Put a slug size on it and be done with it. Trying to police slots aka. map rings will be a never ending battle. What good are the inducer rules if all the air doesnt come through it? I dont like the "BOX" turbo rule either. Its like a democrat solution. Hey, he runs better and thats not fair. Lets make it fair for everybody.Well guess what,he probably has a better pump than you

You could easily put a clutch off the engine but you would have to engine drive your trans lube and pressure pump because the stock pump would quit every time you pushed in the clutch. The size and number of 2 speed disks looks on paper way heavier than a quad range

I have a 5488 very similar. Made one pass last year with no slippage. Was set at 280 psi clutch pressure. Stock is 240 . This year I've set it up to 325. I think one could bolt the high or low up solid , but if your master clutch is the one slipping it would do you no good. Very interested if anyone on here has any experiance with this transmission, as I may be fighting the same battle. Good

Not stiring the pot , but every farm stock orgs have trouble policing turbo rules and inducer limits. Teching mwe slots, let alone dual mwe slots opeans a can of worms and some interpretation of the rules by both builders and tech men. Why have a restrictor plate class in which all the air doesn't have to go through it? Why give the turbo shops a update check every year? Smoothbore, It

On the back of the pump head (return to tank) there is a small orfice return for bleeding air and maybe cooling. The camshaft or tappet could be worn and not getting the stroke?

I take it ,it is a new pump? Does it start good without either, especially when hot? The fitting on the back of the pump is a orfice not a check valve. There are different sizes.but probably not the problem,

Hey I am not bashing john deere . I love watching them go down the track ,as well as the orange ones and blue ones. I have a lot of green on my farm. I repaired a 4020 with a bad crank a few years ago and i had access to a 466 crank. The flywheel would not bolt up .so it had to be machined to work. I find it unusual that a "factory" replacement wont bolt up to the flywheel. Or is there some moun

The only answer i want to know is if a 8.1 or 7.6 is really what john deere will sell you. I couldnt care less what the cubic inch rules are as long as they are the same for everyone.
