how big of a side by side to drag a 7000lb vehicle through the pits. I was looking at trackers but we have limited room in trailer. what are some of the smaller cheaper units that will work. I was looking at Honda 700 pioneers but they are very hard to find. there's allot of polaris around but those are 2 mutch for no more than we would use it

I don't see you getting 2500 hp out of a single charger at 504 ci. you go to the big block big cubes keeping the front end down with weight issues. are you thinking big cubes big single on alky you could get there.

depends allot on your setup. alky tractors are around 20 to 1.

got to look at it on a promoter or fan side of things. do you want to pony up 3400 for a class and have have the tractors 50 to 75 ft behind the top 2 or 3 or for less money have 7 to 10 llss all within 15 to 20ft of everyone

build a llss and pull with outlaws. if we can get the numbers up it could be there outlaw schedule and not just on heartland. I believe there's is allot in the works to bring up the numbers in the llss class but we need to keep weight reasonably light.

I pulled at a ppl event last week. they went over the tractor and checked all my safety equipment. I even showed up pretty late. I threw a rod out the side of my motor and the inner side shields did there job.

I have a older kentucky trailer with the old 8.25x20 wedge 2 piece rims. was thinking of just switching to the 22.5 rims but after talking to salvage yards and the price of the new rims I'm thinking of just doing the hub conversion and switch to the standard 10 bolt pilot rims. what has other people done.

I think one pt that everyone is missing is if you keep the class light then it is not as hard on parts. it's also a equalizer for lower hp tractors to compete in the class. this is the only class in pulling where you see every color of tractors. they put on a great show. we are getting allot more interest in iowa and Nebraska and it's growing.
as far as paulens comments I can see the w

we have done one showing the entire build progress of a llss. it started out pretty simple but really surprised me by the # people watching them. we had 1 where 1500 watched it and I thought that was pretty neat. we are going to try to do better content with go pros and more actual pulling videos next year. we added a 2wd truck to the mix so this spring we will start things up again. iron horse l

I understand that the class needs to progress to be better but some of these issues are the results of rule changes. what I see happening is since they added the newer tires now all the sudden rearend issues. the solution is add more weight so can run bigger rearend. tires heavier and know can't keep the print end down. I personally like the lighter weight. it is a equalizer to keep the clas

Jacobson building at Iowa state fairgrounds would be a good place but they won't let anything other than horse shows in there

first of all I am very happy that the tractor pull is back at the state fair and I know outlaw doesn't set the ticket prices. I was checking on prices and adult's 35. kinda of high but no big deal. going to be a good pull. then I seen kids 2-11 30$. that's ridiculous. going to keep allot of families from attending. you got 14$ gate fee then 10 to 15 to park . a family of 4 just dro

I think with this discussion the one thing almost everyone is talking about is improving times between hooks. And is show says starts at 7 the first vehicle needs to hook at 7. These 2 things should be easy to fix. I have helped with some very well run pulls and we had people getting vehicles to the line ahead of time.

We really need to try to expand the fan base in pulling. We need to improve the fan experience for these major national pulls especially. We will never be nhra or nascar. One thing both of those do is have more going on besides the race. For one all pits need to be open to have better contact with the pullers. Another thing is possibly a fan zone with entertainment. Stuff for the kids to do. Mak

Not sure those will work. They are only 4 inches long and if I recall where you need to place it the differential if further away than that

Just putting this question out there because I believe it could be a real possibility with our current government . With all the hype about green new deal and eliminating fossil fuels this would basically end tractor pulling. Especially the diesel classes

It's got to be a fan experience. If we need more money in pulling you got to get more people to attend pulls. Pulls are not a money making proposition for majority of them. Allot of them wouldn't even exist if they didnt have local sponsorship or donations. You start with offering a better show that is fast moving that would be the place to start. Then atmosphere and just not during the

I am in the process of building one out of central ia. No it will not be done this summer. When it is if allowed we will run some outlaw lss. This tractor will have the electromotive ignition system. That is the only thing that outlaw does not allow. It's a oliver rearend but we went the clutch can route with a short driveshaft. No bellhousing.

Why not just build a plate for rearend housing and have it bolt on. Easy maint. You will still need to support it there. No advantage to hooking it to housing.
