I'm putting in a 12/49 ring and pinion in a 1066. The ring and the pinion that I have are both marked with a C-47 and no other numbers. In my 1066 service manual there is the look-up table that references the 2-digit number on the gears and tells the proper clearance measurement to shoot for using the service tool to get the right number of shims on the pinion shaft. My problem is that th

The ISP tentative schedule is posted on the website message board. I think there are still at least a few pulls missing from this list, but it has most of them.

I made my own cable out of 1/4" nylon tubing with stainless wire inside. Very affordable, and also the wire can pull out as far as it needs to, so there's no need for any type of "breakaway".

I'm using a Tuthill 1LE pump that I have driven right off the crank with a Lovejoy coupler. It's been completely trouble free for me so far.

Don't know how much interference you have, but I just stacked 2 stock rubber gaskets and that was enough.

Take a look at the "Too Hot to Farm" class with the Illini State Pullers. 12,500 lb, 3000 rpm, 470 cube, Box S360 turbo, up to 12mm A-Pump, factory style Rops and most other basic safety equipment.
It was a new class last year, and we had great numbers (10-19 tractors per event), and 16 pulls booked so far this year. Overall a big success so far, and looking forward to another great year.

I used one from a 7100 series Magnum. I believe it has around 4" of travel and was about the right length for what I needed.

I did something similar to what you're describing. This is an S300 with a reducer slug on the compressor inlet, followed by a guillotine, then a 45 degree elbow routed up towards the stock inlet over the radiator. It fits, but just barely. I didn't have to do anything to the thermostat housing, just trimmed the radiator hose slightly so I could shove it down farther to make more roo

I'm considering adding bead screws to my 20.8 BFG radials on 23" steel rims. I know there's been some discussion on this topic in the past, but I've still got some questions.
- What is the best orientation? Through the side of the rim, or radial? I've seen it done both ways.
- Best type of fasteners? Pointed sheet-metal style, or self-tapping? SS or Grade 8? Will

+1 on Hart's Model 100. Bought one new from them last year and was very happy. Get your order in early though, as it arrived later than originally promised. Other than that, no complaints what so ever.

You make a good point Ed. From what I can tell, this S300 is only available from the factory with the 0.91 housing, and if I want something different I have to buy it separately. Might as well save the money unless I know it's not what I want.

I installed it on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, and I wasn't able to get it to work right. It installed fine and would load, but I would get an error message and it would shut down right before I'd go to start a pull. Don't remember exactly what the error said. I should have taken a screen shot of it. At any rate, I uninstalled it to get the refund from the Google Play sto

Looking at going to a "box" S300 turbo with the 2.36 inducer (60mm). It appears that there are 0.88, 0.91, and 1.00 A/R exhaust housings available for this turbo. Which of these would be the best place to start on a 466 IH at 3000 rpm, with a good Model 100 pump, and decent head and cam? I realize there are a lot of variables here, but just interested to hear peoples experience.

I'm looking at going with a Tuthill 2LE supply pump on my 1066, and like the idea of driving it off the front side of the injector pump drive. Who sells this type of setup and how much do they get for them? Is there room to fit the pump in that location and not get in the way of the stock fan/fan shroud? How do they couple the pump shaft to the drive gear? Could a guy build a plate that a

What is a good gear ratio to use in a 1066 for 8 or 12 mph speed limit classes? Tractor has stock constant mesh and ring/pinion ratios, functional TA, and 20.8 BFG's, running 2800 rpm. Any advice appreciated.

Farm Stock IH with 466 motor, 3LM, 13mm rotary, 2800 rpm high idle. I've ran it for years at 30 deg timing advance, and then learned recently that the intravance (intervance?) on the pump (which I bought used) is locked out, so I bumped it up to 38 deg advance. Before I did this, I took it out on the road and pulled it down with the brakes, and could get 55 lbs boost. After the timing adj

toolz- Thanks for your reply to my original question on the rules changes. I'm probably not going to pull with IPA this year because I want to keep my tractor relatively stock appearing. So my next question is where else do you pull? This will be my first year pulling in Illinois, and I'm still trying to learn where all I can run. I'm set up basically the same as the IPA farm

I just bought a brand new factory-style reproduction ROPS for my 1066 from Saginaw County Tractor Parts in Michigan. Good quality, good service, and good price. No complaints, other than I did have to make a slight modification to the base plate to clear my right brake housing.

What is the best rim width for 20.8 BFG 8-ply Powersaver radials on a farm stock tractor pulling 11,000-14,000 lb? Is there really a proven advantage to running wider than 18" rims with radials? Any feedback is appreciated.
