While reading my lastest issue of PJ's Full Pull Magazine I came across one paragraph in his editorial that caught my eye; "The Full Pull Magazine crew is working with Michael Bond on possibly taking over the ownership of the magazine". The NTPA just "KILLED" technology! - 16 years ago
I guess what really amazes me is the belief that this rule change some how “increases” technology in the sport. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The new NTPA rule just killed technological advancements’ in the sport. Why should Brian S. or Eric V. or anyone else that wants to develop an “off” brand tractor now? The NTPA just killed the remarket value of these types of motors. Why spend tby Dick Morgan - Pulling Forum

Jeremy; Thanks for your well written answer to my question. I do agree that most readers of pulloff.com are pullers, promoters, tech officials and board members; although most pretend they are “above” reading this web site. However to get back to my question, I still do not believe this is the right way to “grow the sport”. However I do agree on your response to my question #6; #6; Now buby Dick Morgan - Pulling Forum

My question is still unanswered. What benefit will this new NTPA rule bring to the PS, LSS, DSS or Open SS class? So far I’ve heard; 1; The fans don’t know anyway. 2; The fans don’t care anyway. 3; The pullers won’t do it anyway. 4; The NTPA’s rules are so screwed up now, what’s the difference. 5; This will grow the sport . 6. Re: Question about the new ntpa engine sheetmetal rule - 16 years ago
I talked to a person on the NTPA board yesterday and they told me that the rules means just what it says, only component tractors can use the new engine/hood rule . They do not want pullers trying to bolt up "x" motor with "z" rearend.by Dick Morgan - Pulling Forum
"My Question, My Opinion" on the new NTPA engine/hood combo
- 16 years ago
If you were told that someone had built a Fendt 936 Vario for the Light SS class would you have more interest in seeing that pull or a DT466 with a Fendt 936 hood. Simple question, what do fans really want to see? Pulling was built on brand competition, red vs. green vs. orange vs. blue. With this new rule the NTPA in one hasty decision has killed the very thing that made the sport what it is todby Dick Morgan - Pulling Forum

BIG News from NTPA/WPI Board Meetings!!!
Light Pro Stock tractors are allowed to compete in the Limited Pro Stock and RN Pro Stock classes. I think this part of the "new" Light Pro Stock class will encourage people to start building 540s with the knowledge that they will have a place to pull in the 2010 season Now the NTPA needs to start promoting this class as a “stand alone” class for the upcoming season. The following rules will take effect for the 2010 NTPA season: Component chassis tractors will be allowed to run any agricultural tractor sheet metal (1960 or newer) with any legal block. Block does not have to be the same brand as sheet metal. (This applies to both Super Stock and Pro Stock tractor divisions)by Dick Morgan - Pulling Forum

Why the recent cubic inch poll did not have 600/640
- 16 years ago
I have received emails and phone calls on the cubic inch POLL that pulloff.com did for the potential new NTPA small cubic inch diesel class. People wondered why the poll did not include 600 or 640. The simple fact is the poll was in reference to the thread that was on the page about the NTPA starting a small cubic inch class. I left 600/640 off the poll for 2 reasons. The "Puller Magazine"--- great cover photo

I just got my lastest issue of the "Puller" and the cover photo by Dave Dann of Tim Cain's beautiful PS "Red Gambler" is great, along with the "center fold" photo by Tracy Waters of Kathy Archer on her potent Unl. Mod "Black Widow", both great photo's. In fact all the photo's in this months issue are top notch. I've noticed that the recent "Puller" covers are clean and crisp.by Dick Morgan - Pulling Forum

NTPA numbers to call to voice opinion on the potential n

Now that the ideas for a new lower cubic inch, single turbo NTPA class have been expressed, it is time to start making some calls to the appropriate NTPA board members. Here is a list of people that are on the NTPA Divisional Committees. I would first start by calling either Jeremy Smith or Tony Wortmann. The show at Bowling Green was one of the best pulls I have attended in a long time. The number of vehicles that were there did not seem to be down any. The sled settings were right one session after session. The competition director used the floating finish line when needed and used the 310-320 rule in the rest of the classes. The announcing was first rate this year, there seemed to be several anby Dick Morgan - Pulling Forum
