I think that in Butch and Dave’s defense people are being too critical. There is no better overall tractor-pulling announcer than Butch. Butch is the benchmark that other announcers strive for. No one does a better job than Butch of announcing ALL the parts and pieces that put a good show together. A real nice tractor with a real strong run right out of the box. It will a interesting year if the Hunt Motorsports follows the NTPA GN this year. It will be more interesting if the new "Liv"n A Dream" makes the LSS class. The Hunts are a credit to the sport. Great tractors and true dedication to the sport.

I do owe a HUGE apology to the Gordyville track crew. All during the show Jake and I kept talking about what a great job they did keeping the track smooth and tractors hooked and unhooked in a fast and efficient rate, and yes even the roller guy!

The runaway wheel in the LSS class was potentially one of the most serious situations that I’ve seen at any tractor pull that I’ve ever attended. But for the Grace of God no one was hurt. Having just had an opportunity to unwind from the trip home I had a chance to reflect on the 2011 Gordyville event. I thought that this years Gordyville show was one of the best shows that they have put on. Klint and Company have perfected the art of indoor pulling. If the pullers decide to keep the same events and pulling map, the next option is to take the schedule out of the promoter’s hands and have a have a “master scheduler” that can schedule pulls in a more logical manner. As I have started before another option that would benefit the pullers is a schedule that not only limited every class to no more than 18 national hooks but also would allow the pullers to drop 2 hooks from their points total. JR; I would define National Level organization as either PPL or NTPA. I used the NTPA as my model here, however either PPL or NTPA could be used. I think that you have to have a strong state level organizations to have 2 regions. PPL certainly has that with Ohio, East Coast, ESP, etc. As does the NTPA with their member states.

The idea that I’ve heard from several pullers is to breakup the pulling map into a “north” region and a “south” region with the dividing line being the northern part of Ohio.
