While the news that you are stepping back from the sport is unpleasant, it is good to hear that you are not stepping away from the sport. I always find the NTPA’s rules writing process very interesting. The part that usually fascinates me is how can you take such a simple process of writing rules and come up with this hodge-podge mass of confusion. Take the SF/LPS/LimPS/PF head rules. Why did the "Entertainer 2" break away from the sled? - 15 years ago

The question that comes to my mind is why did the “Entertainer 2” come unhooked from the sled? There should never be a situation when the pulling vehicle breaks away from the sled. I realize that there is safety fuel/air shutoffs, however the vehicle should always stay hooked to the sled. All distances past 300 feet will be measured. Only the top three distances will participate in the pull off. All vehicles will be red flagged if they exceed 320 feet. If three or more competitors exceed 320 feet, only competitors past 320 feet will come back in the pull off I'm confused!
