ITPA Meeting Oct.10, 4.1 Limited Pro October 05, 2010 02:14PM
The ITPA is having a 4.1 Limited Pro meeting this weekend, what type of rules are they considering?

Re: ITPA Meeting Oct.10, 4.1 Limited Pro October 05, 2010 02:22PM
Ruin it before it gets started and make sure to allow components.

Re: ITPA Meeting Oct.10, 4.1 Limited Pro October 05, 2010 03:57PM
keep it simple an the tractors will come. Allow hp tires, any brand 4.1 with billet wheels,no component chassis.

Where is this gonna take place at and WHY?

Re: ITPA Meeting Oct.10, 4.1 Limited Pro October 06, 2010 02:24PM
Sunday at noon in springfield, there going to drop superfarm and start a 4.1 class just like ECMTPA has.

Re: ITPA Meeting Oct.10, 4.1 Limited Pro October 06, 2010 03:35PM
Ok, thank you. So they are going to drop superfarm. My question is are they listening to the same ones that wanted the superfarm class and never pulled in it and now want a 4.1 class that they can pull in?

Re: ITPA Meeting Oct.10, 4.1 Limited Pro October 07, 2010 12:44PM
I heard they were considering 2 sets of rules....

640 w/ a 4.1 charger or 540 with an unlimited charger.

Turbos are the easiest thing to police in tractor pulling...but then again, what does that matter to ITPA. I know if I pulled in a class that had the second set of rules I would run something bigger than a 540 with an unlimited charger!!! Who is going to check the cubes?

Re: ITPA Meeting Oct.10, 4.1 Limited Pro October 07, 2010 12:53PM
I thought they were going to make it a combo class, 4.1 640 and 540 any turbo pull together.

Re: ITPA Meeting Oct.10, 4.1 Limited Pro October 07, 2010 01:19PM
iwish they would let 640s & 540s run that would get the cheaters out of the 466 class

Re: ITPA Meeting Oct.10, 4.1 Limited Pro October 07, 2010 02:41PM
After reading all these posts I have come to a conclusion. Yep, this is a class I wanna build for. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: ITPA Meeting Oct.10, 4.1 Limited Pro October 07, 2010 03:48PM
How many tractors are going to build for this class ?

Re: ITPA Meeting Oct.10, 4.1 Limited Pro October 08, 2010 03:09PM
Because by your post, if a tractor that built to the rules(2nd set) and beat you, you would probably be the first to complain about it.

Re: ITPA Meeting Oct.10, 4.1 Limited Pro October 10, 2010 01:50PM
The rules don't really matter to me anyway, I don't pull ITPA. I was just making a comment on a simple fact that a couple of organizations seem to have a problem with...ENFORCING RULES! And if a tractor that was built to the second set beat me, I wouldn't complain....I'D PROTEST.

So, did they drop the Super Farm class?? October 11, 2010 12:58PM
Does anyone know if ITPA dropped the Super Farm class? If they did, I think its crap that they drop a class just to add another! Although numbers might have been down in the class the last couple of years, ITPA needs to support EVERY class they offer and do more to keep the pullers and classes they have. If numbers are down, they need to look into why they are down and put more effort into getting the numbers back up! Super Farms werent the only class suffering in numbers the last couples of years. What class are they going to cut next or add???

Any other news on rules, etc from the ITPA annual meeting?

Re: So, did they drop the Super Farm class?? October 11, 2010 01:33PM
The funny thing is all the 4.1 tractors that are suppose to be built will complain after one tractor starts beating them every pull. Then that tractor will be cheating. The same thing happened in the superfarm class. It use to be a good class lets see home long this one lasts.

Re: So, did they drop the Super Farm class?? October 11, 2010 02:29PM
I've heard of at least 4 or 5 of these being built for Illinois. Give this class a year to get going and within the next few years it will be a great one to watch.

Deere: as far as your comment is concerned, apparently everybody in ITPA is worried about cheating!....it seems that ol' Teddy may have a few words on the subject.

Re: So, did they drop the Super Farm class?? October 11, 2010 02:29PM
out of the 10 years itpa had the super farm class they only had a couple years of good numbers, when the Missouri tractors quit coming is when the class started to die. When the 8200 limited pro started it became the same show as the Super Farm, for a lot less money.

Re: So, did they drop the Super Farm class?? October 11, 2010 02:30PM
why put the money in a MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE superfarm when the 8200 limited pro paid the same?!?!?

Re: So, did they drop the Super Farm class?? October 11, 2010 03:17PM
I have read all of these posts. And unless I have missed one, no one has said what the weight of this 4.1 is. Anyone know?
