Just out of curiousity how much are most 4.1 tractors and 3by 4 lim pro tractors putting out in horsepower?

Re: lim pro horsepower January 05, 2011 11:19AM
1500-1600hp

Re: lim pro horsepower January 05, 2011 02:06PM
i've seen 4.1s push out close to 2000hp.

Re: lim pro horsepower January 06, 2011 01:46AM
what about the 466 3by4's

Re: lim pro horsepower January 06, 2011 05:04AM

the last place ones maybeSpinning

Re: lim pro horsepower January 06, 2011 07:25AM
Yeah 750 is a low number. Might be right for some of the pullers jumping up into that class just to see what they got but not a true 466 3x4 that is tuned. I'd say they are putting out the horsepower of a superfarm or better since a few are beating the superfarms that show up in that class. Not sure what superfarms push out but I'd say a 1000 to 1200 (or maybe a bit more???)

Re: lim pro horsepower January 06, 2011 10:05AM
466 3x4 push about 1000 -1200 the baddest one i know of is Chris barker and Dave elson's tractor of Illinois raphsday n blue 1 bad ford

Re: lim pro horsepower January 06, 2011 01:09PM
No offense to rhapsody in blue but I don't think its got as much power as some. There is a tractor from jeff city MO that likely has the most in the nation for a 3by4 tractor

Re: lim pro horsepower January 06, 2011 01:13PM
That's not what Josh saysConfused

Re: lim pro horsepower January 06, 2011 02:01PM
Ill have to agree that that jeff city tractor is one of the toughest in the nation if Josh Adrian on Thumper is the one your talking about. But i must say i've seen that Cawood Comet out of northwest missouri make a few good passes itself.

Re: lim pro horsepower January 06, 2011 02:59PM
466 extreme. Brandon Trinklien

Re: lim pro horsepower January 06, 2011 03:22PM
Well they do seem pretty hot until the blue tractors show up, than there not so tough anymore.

Re: lim pro horsepower January 06, 2011 07:03PM
I would say that Josh Adrian works the hardest at it by trying stuff on the dyno. But Brandon Trinklien runs good too!

Re: lim pro horsepower January 07, 2011 04:03AM
why isn't it at gordyville? isn't it from wisconsin?

Re: lim pro horsepower January 07, 2011 04:00AM
the cawood comet is a superfarm that runs in the limited pro classes in nwmtpa

Re: lim pro horsepower January 07, 2011 04:16AM
Who won the 466 ci. class last year?

Re: lim pro horsepower January 07, 2011 04:32AM
fast forward of matt smith won last year. but i am pretty sure it is not always the most power that wins. if i had to bet on it one of those red MO tractors has got the most ponies

Re: lim pro horsepower January 07, 2011 06:35AM
Apparently then the most power never wins cause the blues one at goryville, corbin and duquoin. I guess we need to start making these ih tractors with less power so they can win.

Re: lim pro horsepower January 07, 2011 01:25PM
Maybe you should go talk to those guys from the East when you go to Gordyville, you would be surprised how genuinely nice and helpful they are. It should also be noted those tractors are running the dinosaur like "A" pump and can whoop a$$. Great guys for anyone who's a Blue fan. They do their homework, and it pays off, what's wrong with that?

It doesn't always have to be Red (or Green) to make the most HP! You can have all the HP you want, but if it doesn't make it to the ground, and isn't balanced right, you aren't gonna do jack!

Good luck to all the Interstate guys (blue or otherwise) at Gordyville!!

Blue may have won the first pull at Corbin, but championship night a red one won. It was a 1206 with a Harts engine.

Re: lim pro horsepower January 07, 2011 02:49PM
having the most horsepower makes, great braging rights, but is no garentee you will win, but aleast you can say you tried, and did you homework, maybe somone can tell us why do these ford shine so bright on these light weight limited cube classes, limited pro, light supers, fords are just auesome in these classes. do the heads flow that much better???? why ???

Was at Corbin last year and both red and blue in the sand in the finals. Why no pull off???

Re: lim pro horsepower January 08, 2011 07:00AM
The first pull was to qualify for to come back to the championship pull. The ford did win the first pull. The Old Red Tractor won the championship pull.

what makes you say that?

Re: lim pro horsepower January 09, 2011 06:34AM
Because it is, nwmtpa rules allow superfarms to pull against 466 3x4's in the same class

Re: lim pro horsepower January 09, 2011 07:09AM
how do the 466 tractors fair as a whole and is there a weight difference thanks

Re: lim pro horsepower January 09, 2011 07:57AM
No weight break. This year the 466's won most of the time, especially at 8200 lbs.
