Differences between a 3-LM 466 and a 3-LM 353 February 08, 2011 03:56PM
Hunting for a charger that will work on a 360IH diesel, moderately fueled (AMBAC 10mm) 3000rpm Will the 3-LM 353 be closer to working than the 466? I assume that the smaller number signifies a tighter housing??

From what I've seen on Schwitzer model numbers they will have diff comp wheels. Ex hsg doesn't figure in the model.

241 exhaust housing is one of the tighter or is the thights exhaust housing you can get on a 3lm.

same tw and th. 353 has smaller comp wheel and cover. will turn a bit easier than a 466 on the smaller cube motors.

one side of the ex. housing has a plate welded across. Then a hole drilled in it to adjust so u can spin the bigger turbo.

So let me get this right. You block off one of the two Turbine inlets, then drill a hole in it to a specific size to "tune" it to work well? Can it actually be this easy?

I've never done it myself but it was suggesed to us a long time ago. They didn't mention welding - just make a plate with the hole in one side only.

I have a blocked housing that st joe did for me 2 years ago i no longer use i would be willing to sell it call me at 24032164847 it worked great on my d 360
