Mad WTPA puller

Maybe the Wisconsin guys can come pull with you. I'm still mad about what happened to us with wtpa. They told us we could run with sf for exhibition, I built a tractor, and later the whiners said I can't pull. My tractor has been sitting ever since, and I'm still very mad. |

Hey mad wtpa guy you limited pro guys were told you could run in the hvy ss class and 1 or 2 of you is all that ever showed up. I've got no problem with a limited pro class but you want us to start another class for you, the last thing we need is another class with only 1 or 2 entrys. |

Thinking out loud
|
Hey guys. What are your opinions on how it would shake out between a 640 motor with a 4.1 and a 540 motor with any size turbo? If they were to run together. I'm thinkin it might be close. But I've been wrong before. Any ideas? |
Re: Lim Pro

Re: Lim Pro

Forever Red

The 540's would get spanked especially on a tough track. Doubt the 540's are turning much bigger than a 4.3 anyway. |

how about a 540 w/4.1 and intercooler |
Re: Lim Pro
|
Forever Red
|
The 640 still wins then the 540 4.1 intercooler , then the 540 any turbo. Too bad they can't consolidate these classes a bit or give the 540 a couple hundred pounds to run with the 640's |
Re: Lim Pro
|
GIVE IT TIME
|
Give it a year or two and you will won't want to give the 540's any weight. It would be a very good mix of classes. |

Not to keep costs down, but to keep color up. Anything above 540 and you start to lose a lot of engine options. Jake Morgan Owner, PULLOFF.COM Independent Pulling News This page is a free service. The cost is covered out of my pocket. It takes a great deal of time and a fair amount of money to keep this website going. Donations for: photos, classified ads, forum discussion, etc... are appreciated. Side Note: We are no longer accepting PayPal donations. They have changed their terms of service and stated they would fine PayPal users for spreading "misinformation" and "hate, violence, racial or other forms of intolerance that is discriminatory". PayPal did not provide definitions for some of these vague terms. Woke corporate policies regarding "misinformation" could result in an automatic fine of $2,500 which would have been removed directly from the customer’s PayPal account. PayPal did backdown from some of their policies but quietly implemented portions of them in later terms of service. A financial institute has no right to monitor social media accounts or speech. This is unacceptable and I'll no longer do business with PayPal. |

Re: Lim Pro

There is no color anyhow its green n red and here in the east with some really tough blue. I think there is definately a way to put these tractors together weight, cooler, charger size. I think weight if u lighten up the 640's and leave the 540's where they are. Just trying to keep this topic going because i would like to see the best of both compete and see the end result! |

540 with cooler and any turbo! |
Re: Lim Pro
|
I think this would b a great class to put on the east coast for us guys who built
our tractors for the old hot stock rules now that every thing seems to be going 540 and if you have a 619 jd or have spent the money to compete with one this would be a way to pull with out building up a 466 to 540 or d-cubing the tractors we already cubed to pull these classes. Weather we like it or not hot stock is gone and pro farm is in and i for one am not d-cubing to put a lil turbo on and pull but to keep most color in you could not drop below the 9500lb mark tho cause the most of the 6030 around here thats about as light as it gets i think it would be a way to keep all the big iron and give them a place to pull instead of just the open 10000lb class or being put in with the pro super class |
Re: Lim Pro
|
the limited pros are a good class out west. and the light pro is a good class in the east, lets have some fun! |
Re: Lim Pro
|
idea
|
why not same weight both run slick 4.1 540 and under can run coolers. |
Re: Lim Pro
|
well i think the 4.1 class has a good weight already 9500 is a good weight im not changing my rear to make
the 8500lb class that the 540 mod turbos run on the east cost and I no that the 6030 guys will not either so if they use there heads every one should keep the same rules and get the guys from out west to come in pull at the keystone and i would not mind running out there and pulling out west if fuel is not 10.00 a gallon till next year |
