It was pretty cool to see Doug Sobotka on Kevin Komarous's old Land Shark last night, which I think used to be or are the remnants of Danny Dean's old Rooster. Plus it was also neat to see Micheal Rhoades on Matt Goodwins old 7230 Intimadator which still doesn't have the top hoods painted from the Notorious incident in Spencer many moons ago. Speaking of Notorious is that truck which is painted gray with yellow flames L.D. Nations old Boot Hill Delivery. Anyways congratulations to the Extreme Pleasure and Red Rock Teams for their top three finishes, and we will see everybody again tonight.

I still don't know what to think of this bracket pulling, Someday, Pride of the Farm, Magnum Force, Fire and Ice, all pull farther than the Threat and Spankys Toy, in Rock Valley but they dont make the pulloff, and the New Holland and John Deere do doesn't that seem a little strange.

Re: results Rock Valley , IA 7/8/2011 July 09, 2011 03:13AM
Thats the great thing about the bracket pulling. The track got better as the class went along, so the Ford was best in the first 5 of the class. That is why the distance was less than other tractors. Fair way to do it and if all the good tractors pulled early, none may not have made the pull-off. Great way to do the class, and made for excitement through out the whole class from start to finish, including the pull-off.

What a pull last night at Rock Valley. Huge Friday crowd last night, bigger than last years Saturday night. Must have been close to 4 or 5 thousand, as all the new bleachers were full and people were standing. Great weather, great food and man, did Outlaws have the vehicles. Over 115 hooks of non-stop action on 2 tracks. 11 Diesel supers, 11 light supers, 8 big pro stocks to go along with 11 Limited Pro stocks and 7 Modified tractors. Great job by everyone and what a way to end the pull with the 5 tractor Super Farm pull-off with 1 Ford, 2 John Deere & 2 Intrernational, and the local Taylor VanBeek taking the win.

Thanks, we did have a great night in Rock Valley last night! Thanks to lot of people that made it happen.

Reminder: The tractor pull starts at 6:00 PM tonight. The weather is warm and sunny and nothing on the radar. It will be a fast paced show for sure, see ya there!

Isn't Rhodes tractor the old Magnum Force? It had hoods like that too didnt it?

I thought Matts went to Harry Bledsoe and now Harmons have it as a superfarm. In this pic the Intimidator 3 is still on it.

Well wasn't Dennis Goodwins tractor a 7130 and Matt's a 7230? Plus didn't Matts tractor have the sliver top from the infamous Spencer incident?

Re: results Rock Valley , IA 7/8/2011 July 11, 2011 01:03PM
I agree about the silver hoods, just wondered why bledsoe and harmons superfarm have the 3 on it. I will have to ask Matt friday night.

Checked 2001 Spencer and they both had silver hoods on at that time and Matts had the 3 on the left side like Harmons superfarm.

According to what Rhodes told me Friday, Its Dennis's old tractor so I guess hoods got switched along the way. Plus now I remember that even though it had 7230 hoods on it it had Rest In Peace Pride of the Farm on the back. While we are on the subject of it are you pulling Friday in Hinton?

We will be in Hinton Friday.
