Does anyone know what these rear ends weigh in stock form? F106, H170/172 or a SQHD, I'm contemplataing on what to use in my build but would like to know what they weigh.
Thanks in advance |

If you want light and don't mind fixing broken stuff, use a F106
If you want to break a little less, use the H172 If you want to break the least amount of parts, don't worry about the stinkin weight, use a SQHD center and H172 spindles, make it as narrow as you can, and go PULL. Really doesn't matter what it weighs, just matters how much you like working on broken stuff. Simple really. |

Thats what i was starting to think, But im currently running a Dana 80 and with the extra weight of a big rear end, just dont want to shoot myself in the foot and be messing around all summer trying to get the truck to hook good with the extra weight added from the big rear end. |

Theres not that much of a weight differencereally..
Besides that the weight you gain will be on the back tires.. it should hook the same as before.. |

My ex-wife had a tiny rear end.
My current wife has a larger rear end, and I like the ride a LOT better. Hooks up just fine. |
