turning a 312 into 360, or more?

I've got a 666 with a weak engine, and was thinking of overhauling it. While checking the overhaul costs, I see a kit for a 360 is cheaper than a 312, and this tractor could use a little more power. I have read that they are the same block, so is it as simple as get the 360 crank and overhaul kit? Also, I've heard that you can use the truck kit with a bigger bore to get even more cubes. What would be required to make that work? What would be suggested if I wanted to make it a NA puller that would compete against 4020's? Thanks! |

Has anyone done this before? Could really use a road map to this project. |

Does your kit require boring the block bigger? Does it use stock ag 360 stroke? Or does it combine bore and stroke? |

It's 4.125 bore ih 407 or deere or Case use this size. I think the case piston is the easiest to retro fit. Use a darton sleeve.
fire ring it. 400 series rods and valves will now work with a custom pushrod. Cranks are little hard to come by. x2 the hp. |
