I suppose this has been discussed before, What is the best way to install a automotive style tach on a diesel engine. Lookina at Autometer gauges. Thanks. |

Use an ISSPRO tach... its really easy to install. I have one magnet on the front dampner, with a small pickup sending the singal to the tach. Been running this setup for 7 years, I have only failed a pickup, which was my fault. |

Buy it from Jegs might be cheaper, but buying it from SKPPARTS or ISSPRO direct do have its advantage. They know how to install it on a diesel tractor and they also know of any tricks to ensure it work right AND for a long time. I have seen guys fail tachs with in a few run cause they were not installed correctly. |
