Heard there were some heated discussions on turbos. Sounds like some guys are stretching the rules. We will see if they get to hook at Gordyville with those turbos. |

95 pro farm voted on sat to allow 2 map ring grooves in the turbo, don't know what the board voted on it though. |

There will be no issue at gordyville with the itpa turbo. The rules are 3.0" max diameter intake hole, map with enhanced groves,no restriction on exhaust wheel size. |

The 95 pro farm class didn't vote on any issue regarding turbos wasn't even discussed in that class |

Secret

That class must be a secret too |
Re: ITPA rule changes

The 8200lb class was presented with an option to stay at 8200 or move to the universal weight of 8500lb like all of the indoor pulls and missouri pulls. That was the only thing discussed that was significant. |

3" + turbo
|
No they werent designed for a "certain" turbo. It has been a 3" inlet MAP allowed turbo rule as the only restrictions since 2008. Adding the intercoolers were the worst thing to happen to this class and made it get way out of hand. They never changed a rule for the turbo when intercoolers were added.
And if you want to win go buy the fancy turbo's we all know how to get to the top --->spend more money Its just sad to say that the board was really uninformed about what decision they made with allowing the whole intercooler/water injection deal to pass through. The class is really fun right now making some hp and putting on a heck of a show and now they want to back up the progress with a smooth bore deal. |

There was no change in the 95 profarm, other than possibly letting the non-intercooler ipa guy having 250 more rpms. (rules were locked for 3 yrs) The turbo issue was with the 12 profarm. Have not heard what the board has done with either situation. |

Dont Think So
|
Not sure but the turbo rule will apply to both, dont think its going to be good for the class, 3" turbo limits are a common rule, with this rule the ITPA profarms will be illegal in other organizations, the 12profarms dont have alot of pulls to start with they might need another club to go to. They would have been better to not have a turbo limit rather than meeting the multi map slot rule. Big turbos mean billet parts. |

3" turbo
|
It sounds to me that the turbo rules in the 9500 profarm are designed for a certain turbo, thought the rules were designed for a 3" turbo max, I thought you measured a turbo by the face of the wheel not the size of the hole. Not good! |
