Best SF P-Pump and Turbo December 12, 2012 09:58AM
Getting back into the SF class and was wondering where to go for a pump now for the latest and greatest. I have to Harts pumps. A 3000 and a 7100 both with 13mm plungers. What is out there now and who is putting them together? Is there 16 or 17mm plungers now? Whats the hot cam? The last time I talked to CDS they still were running 3000s. As far as turbo is Precision still the best for smooth bore? What about PPL? Is Harts or CDS HX 60s better for PPL than Precision?

Check out wimers. 724-376-2904. I've had both. Wimers pump and injectors out performed hands down. At least in my case. Made a whole different tractor. All ya haven't had any issues with pump or injectors yet.

Why not get back in with a Limited Pro or Light pro. It would be a whole lot better ride.

What is a P-8600 good for? What is their advantage over a 3000 or 7100? As far as that goes what is better about a 7100?

The 7100 is more stout and has a larger cam for a more aggressive cam profile I believe.

As far as SF class is concerned the P8600 is not legal

8600 is legal in PPL for superfarm

I wasnt aware of the rule change ...... my bad. The P8600 is bigger .... bigger cam and such. It DOES however take more power to turn and most have to double keyway the cam and hub to keep it from shearing.

There was no rule change they have always been legal with ppl.

I thought the 8600 is stronger than the 7100. The 8600 is a lot bigger in size. Please correct me if I'm wrong
