DSS payout 4000 to at both. But more paid to top 3 spots with Outlaws. 1st place 900 Outlaw vs 725 NTPA.

Outlaws put on one heck of a good pull at Spencer with all the difference classes and called it the finals and the stands were full. The fair manager tried to call it off one year when it was cold and Roberts would not do it and Outlaws has no plans of going back. Now it is a cheap regional NTPA show with about 4 classes hooking twice and the crowd is down and the track sucks out in the middle of nowhere. You get what you pay for and the pulling fans are the big losers.

I don't think so. to many guys cant commit to that much traveling because of there jobs.. Some people do have jobs to support this hobby

Corbin Bleu ruined Spencer They chose him over pulling several years ago the fairboard thought he was gonna be the next Elvis pulling has never been the same there.Yes indeed the stands used to be packed and they would have a 100 hooks or better what a shame.

Just a thought would it better for the NTPA if they got rid of the regionals and just put all there pulls under the grand national banner

Re: Pay Out [NTPA or Outlaws] September 01, 2013 12:43AM
Promoters not going to pay that grand national purse for no more vehicles than they get from NTPA. Outlaws purse equals or is better than NTPA grand national on most classes and they get lots of vehicles. Spencer now cheapened up pull by hooking cheap regional classes and then to make it worst they hook the same classes about 3 hours later at 2nd session on same day. Lots of fans do not go to both sessions anymore.

Outlaws use to put on a great show at spencer. The ntpa show now is barely worth going too.

Still like to know what it pays to win one of the top classes like SuperFarm,Two wheel drive trucks, semi trucks or diesel pickups.I have a feeling $20 to watch might be a good deal.I really like the pulls RFD TV sponsored by Lucas.Looks like breakage is about 10% so it has to cost several thousand to be competitive.A friend who pulls said his new component tractor was over $300K .I have asked him what it pays and was told not enough.

Per NTPA 2013 rule book:

Regional National A Purse pays $600 to the winner of mini, SFT, TWD, FWD, Lt. PS, LSS, Lt. MOD
Regional National A Purse pays $725 to the winner of MOD, HSS, PS, PS Semi

GN one hook shows pay winners $2080 for UNL MOD, $1380 to DSS and OSS, $1220 to PS, $1190 to TWD and FWD, $820 to SFT and Mini, $1200 to LSS.

Outlaws pays out about like NTPA 2 hook grand national purse in most classes and in some classes better than NTPA one hook purse. All Outlaw classes pay out better then NTPA regional purses. It is a shame a big fair like Spencer pays less purse than some little fairs in Iowa. The pull is about a joke now. You can see much better pulling in Iowa than that.

Pretty pitiful, when only 4 NTPA 4x4 trucks showed up for Spencer last year.
That pull was a pull not to be missed, not that many years ago.

Another thing to keep in mind NTPA Grand National may have a higher payout then Outlaw does but in NTPA most often if not all the time you will run it twice. I think I would rather run once for less and end up with more. Does that make since.
