Was watching Pro Pulling on MAV and they said water injection dropped the temp from 900 to 200. Are they really that low? What are safe temps for diesal, and Alcohol? |

I wonder if they meant 1900 to 1200. 200 seem very cool |

On any tractor the egts should be around 1300 degrees that's where you get your best performance on a llss alky intake temps are around 200 give or take a bit diesel Llss is about the same with water injection an with a Intercooler they are seeing intake temps of 80 degrees I heard that the dss are much hotter intake temps along with The pros |

You go me there. I was thinking of cylinder temperature not incoming air. My mistake. |

Just a little bit of manifold pressure will make some serious heat. My little 1066 will make 55psi on a hard pull, I dont know the temp but the intake manifold would melt plastic wire looming on it. Now with water-alky mist it is MUCH cooler both the intake and Pyro temps. |
