Need some help on a hot farm 466.Have been told the 833 casting head is a good choice but it is a low flow ,high swirl head. Was also told the 426 casting head is a better choice, but i was not told why.Was also told not to remove any material from ports, would like to know why.Would also like some feedback on camshaft choice.Thanks. |

It depends on who you talk to as far as which head is better. I have been told that the 833 is best, that the 426 is best, and that there isn't enough difference between them to worry about. For a hot farm, I'd say the last option is probably most true. Regarding porting, these heads are very good as cast, and, aside from slight deburring/polishing, it's real easy to do more harm than good if you don't know exactly what you're doing. |

rules?

Its gonna greatly depend on your rpm and turbo rules. What is your turbo limit? |

2.3" turbo box 3lm-466, 3000 rpm.
We have a pair of 833 plus heads and have mildly ported the one we are planning on using. |
