ProFab shifting April 03, 2014 11:45AM
I have a ProFab transmission ordered for the 4430. I would like to know how the shifting is actuated. Do I shift from the stock 4430 shift arms that go through the right side of the differential housing? Or are there shifting levers through the top of the diff cover?

Pretty sure they still use the stock shifting mechanism. Is it a 3 speed? If so only need one of the stock shifting shafts. You can remove the other assembly. Also it will make your life much easier if you pull the shafts out of the side of the trans housing and cut them down, then make a couple new shifting arms. This way you can move the shift linkages closer to the side of the case as I see you are putting tie bars on.
