Can anyone tell me what all is done inside the trans and rear end of say a 4010 to set it up for pulling? I dont want references to any shop im just a curious fan

Most guys will run a three speed pulling transmission with new top shaft and counter shaft. Some put a 4020 ring and pinion in the 4010 as it is stronger and also goes faster. The differential also needs needle bearings and some also needle the sides of planetary gears.
