Hey guys im slowly building a 426 up for pulling and was wondering what should I do for a headgasket. Was reading that I should use fire rings with a copper gasket. Where would one order such parts? Also I've heard that one can make adapter blocks and run the DT exhaust manifold. What other stuff would I need to make/modify for it to work besides a divided turbo housing?

Would one use it with fire rings? Or just the copper gasket?

Yes you have to use a fire ring . You can either use the small wire on top of the sleeve and pinch the gasket or use the stainless wire rings from sealtec and notch your sleeves and back the outer dismeter with the copper gasket. Either way works would just need your bore diameter.

What cubic inch you planning on running? Call Mark Gettinger 765-977-8348! All he works on is 426 ACs out of eastern Indiana! Has tons of perfomance parts too!

Going to stick with stock 426 size. Small pin rods that are hardened. Wanting to get the pistons flycut also. Going to put stainless intake sized valve for the exhaust. Porting and polishing also. Probably going to use the center dump manifold and weld a divider in the manifold itself. Going small for injection system for now till I can see if the tractor will hold the power. Going the have a DM4631 and a set of 5x12 Bosch injectors with a billet wheel holset hx52.

Talk to Mark Gettinger or Max Simpson, two of the smartest guys on AC. Great People to work with! Glad to hear of another AC. What Tractor are you using?
