Any possibility to get a 8500 & 9500 open class?? We have a distance to travel and is more worth our time if we can run twice.

Re: 2015 Harvest Fest tractor pull River Falls WI 8-28-15 August 09, 2015 10:55AM
Do you have room for semi, tractor/trailer parking (going in and out)? Also can you raise the open class to 6200 and 7300? That seems to be the normal for over there in western Wis. Thanks

Re: 2015 Harvest Fest tractor pull River Falls WI 8-28-15 August 09, 2015 11:48AM
There were at least 5 semi's in the pits last year. It would be best to get there a little early with a semi though. The pits do fill to capacity most every year. As far as changing the 5800 and 6300 goes, It would be a problem to change being the printed flyers have been out 2 weeks with those classes listed. in the past few years they get 4-5 in each of those classes. Last thing the guys who run harvest fest want is to have someone drive a ways, just to find out there class has been changed. I will recomend to raise the weight for next year.

I asked the guys at harvest fest about adding a class. They said they were going to stick to the line up of classes they have. Sorry about that.

Thank you "KNIGHT" for at least looking at my request, I think in the future it would have a better number count to your classes, not that you have bad numbers now, but only to get better ones! Thank you we will consider the event, as we have to travel a fare distance. Please post you payouts as soon as possible! Thanks again!

Knight why don't you tech rpm's per the nebraska book too? Tone down all those fuckin' hot tractors in farm and give the farm tractors a chance. I know you know where i'm coming from.

Do you have any info on the Saturday Antique Pull?

Re: 2015 Harvest Fest tractor pull River Falls WI 8-28-15 August 10, 2015 12:50PM
Are they checking turbo's in any classes ? Heard what happened in Hammond. That needs to happen more often. Someone is going to get hurt !

Re: 2015 Harvest Fest tractor pull River Falls WI 8-28-15 August 13, 2015 04:05AM
I talked with the guys at Harvest Fest Last Night. They have expanded the parking lot For Friday Night to include the show grounds directly west of the pavilion for added truck/trailer parking. meaning there will be almost 50% more parking than last year.

The speed limits in farm stock are as follows 4500, 5500 4 MPH. 7000, 9000 Non turbo 5 MPH, 11500 Non turbo and 9000 Turbo = 8MPH. 11,000, 14,000, 15000, 10 MPH.

If there are any tractors suspected of having to large of a turbo in any class they will be inspected.

Can I pull my swing set in 9500 open?

Re: 2015 Harvest Fest tractor pull River Falls WI 8-28-15 August 15, 2015 01:28PM
There was some confusion on the Saturday antique rules. You can have hanging and suitcase weights. You can also have custom weight brackets. 5 mph speed limit. RPMS do not matter. 9000 open is open to any farm stock. 1957 and older for antique. Here is the official page for information on harvest fest. [m.facebook.com]

Re: 2015 Harvest Fest tractor pull River Falls WI 8-28-15 August 29, 2015 12:18PM
Went to the pull last night and learned a valuable lesson. There is always someone who makes the rules and classes to fit so they have an advantage to win. At the drivers meeting someone asked why the 11500 farm stock had to be that heavy and not 10500 like most other pulls. Someone that I assume was in charge said that john deere should put some metal into there tractors like IH does. He said a 966 IH can't make a 10500 so that's why its 11500. It was vey interesting to find out that there was a 966IH in the 11500 class and it had 1500 pounds of weight on it. My math tells me that it only weighs 10000 pounds. That was the only tractor in the class that couldnt make a 10500 pound class according to the guy running the pull as all the other tractors all had at least 1500 pounds of weight added to them. I believe that the real reason for the heavier class was that the 806 in the class only pulls good in a heavier class as I have seen it in lighter classes and not do as well. I have been to a lot of pulls over the years and have seen lots of things that don't always make sense to me but this was the worst. I believe that if the guys putting on these pulls wants to keep having these pulls and have tractors show up they need to look at all the people helping put on the pull and make sure they are being fair and not looking only for an advantage to help themselves win. These tractor pulls can be a great way to make money for whatever cause they may be putting the proceeds towards and also a good way for fans to have a great time but things like this are ruining it for everyone. I will continue to attend these pulls but if things stay as they have been going I will need to rethink going to them and I strongly believe I am not the only one who is thinking this way. I hope things change to keep this great sport going..

I was at the pull watching. You also should watch before you type. The 806 tractor you are speaking of (the only one in the class) placed second in the 9000 behind the ford. the 806 won the heavy class with the ford rite behind. So dont come on here and say the 806 doesnt do well in the light class. I didnt see any 4020's in the top 2 spots. Also the classes for this pull were clearly listed @ the top of this thread showing 11,500 non turbo class a week before the pull was going to take place. Go ahead and scroll to the top and take a look for yourself. if you dont want to pull heavy sign in the light class. But dont go on here and cry that things were changed the day of the pull. because the classes were as advertised and unchanged. The pull this year went great! There were a total of 9 hot farm / Pro Farm smokers friday night. 2 of wich I had never seen a ford 5000 from dorchester and a 1066 from Hammond that was new to the class. The Ford 5000 could really haul the mail. There is nothing better watching black smoke and fire when your sitting in the stands. It also Keeps the mosquitos away to. The guys on the scale were pushing the tractors through fast and the show went great. done by 11:30 then off to the grainery for more fun. Thanks to the Kusilek family for all the hard work and a great show!

Re: 2015 Harvest Fest tractor pull River Falls WI 8-28-15 September 05, 2015 12:09PM
The point I was trying to make is this. The class was advertised earlier that there are numerous tractors in the area that cannot make the 10500 class so it is going to stay at 11500. With that being said the weight class was brought up at the drivers meeting. The guy with the 806 said that a 966 cannot make the 10500 class and said to the guy asking about this is that they could go to his place as he had one and they could weigh it. We have come to know that was a lie as the 966 in the class had 1500# added to it so don't tell me that a 966 can't make a 10500. Lets just be HONEST... All the tractors in this class had at least 1500# added so where were all the tractors that could not make a 10500# class. Now because the guy with the 806 most likely made the class a 11500# class and I have it on good authority that he was at the meeting when the pull was set up, I believe he made it that weight as he pulls better in a 11500 vs 10500. I looked up all the pulls I could find results for and found at least 20 of them and there were NONE NO classes of 11500# non turbo. Also these results showed the 806 in some of these. He was also in the 9500# non turbo classes. With that being said it makes me think he wanted it that weight because he pulls better in a 11500# class. You talked about the 4020 tractors not finishing good. If you looked at the 4020's you could see there weight brackets were full of weights and as I watched them pull across the scale I saw that none of them weighed more than 11000#. There must also be a reason why they cannot put more weight on them. I was told this is because there are no pulls that have a 11500# non turbo class except for here. The fact that they were all 500# light is why they didnt win. Finally I wanted to say that I still enjoy watching these pulls and looking at all the tractors that come to these pulls. I still get to see some I have never seen and others I have not seen in a long time. I want to continue to come these pulls, but the talk that night makes me think there is a possibility that some of the tractors might stop coming to these events in light of what happened that night. Please don't let that happen.

Just to let everyone know that may read this post. I WAS NOT IN THE CLASS I HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT but do follow tractor pulling quite a bit. Not just these classes but a lot of modified and open classes also. Thanks to pulloff for letting me post this.

Re: 2015 Harvest Fest tractor pull River Falls WI 8-28-15 September 05, 2015 02:18PM
Jesus! It's not tractor pulling anymore! Now you gotta listen to every word at the drivers meeting and take notes and compare to the advertised rules...sounds like I might need my attorney look over these rules and make sure there is nothing being pushed past me. That may take many weeks to get back to you...so you better postpone your pull until then. This just takes so much of the fun away from it. Make a wt class, advertise it, and stick to it. Find a common weight that is commonly used and go with it! Guys are finding ways to soup up tractors or get them lighter to pull in a lower class, if forced to they will also find a way to make more power in a heavier class. Quit giving in to Johnny whiner already.

Re: 2015 Harvest Fest tractor pull River Falls WI 8-28-15 September 06, 2015 04:26PM
I'm not sure what was so bad there...I came, laid down two nice passes and all was good. Sure glad I pull in a class (light hot farm) where no one gets bent out of shape about little stuff like which tractor can make which weight. Cmon guys, let's show some gratitude for the guys and gals who worked hard to give us another place to hook. Thanks to everyone who helped (most of) the show go smoothly!

Re: 2015 Harvest Fest tractor pull River Falls WI 8-28-15 September 08, 2015 04:55PM
It sounds to me like you're Bitching about Scott Knight. Let me start off by saying a 966 on cast wheels CAN NOT make a 10500 class. We tried it, you'd need pressed steel. Scott isn't building a class to let himself win. Trust me, i know him very well and have pulled with him in 9500 and 10500 for a number of years. He is a no bullshit, come and hook his tractor type of puller. As to the deere's not being able to weight up to 11500 i guess they need to build bigger weight brackets or leave their tractor at home.

For the Friday night tractor pull, there is a class added.
11000 farm stock front wheel assist
12500 farm stock front wheel assist
Unlimited farm stock front wheel assist

Re: 2015 Harvest Fest tractor pull River Falls WI 8-28-15 August 26, 2015 11:24AM
Funny how that works...someone asks to add a GOOD class, and you say no, but agree to add 3 farm classes! The crowd wants to see the open tractors, not the ones from the field.

Do you have any rules on farmstock class. Like tire size rules hitch rules etc?
