Where/what is best wet clutch and 2 spd for 4440 November 17, 2015 03:51AM
I would like some opinions on whats a good setup for a 4440 on a hotfarm class. What kind of clutch and 2 spd for the quad would be good?
Running appx 1000 hp
And where to look for them.

Dry clutch from Atlas and NO 2 speed

Please define 'hot farm'. How you get 1000 HP is just as important.

A 4440 with a 1000hp is going to wreck your transmission if you put enough clutch and 2spd in front of it to hold. Anything over 800hp is danger zone on these small frame Deeres with stock guts. If you are running a limited rpm class the stock stuff is too slow especially on a 4440 and the IH's will run all over top of you too. I have probably built 20wet Clutch Deeres for guys that work over the last ten years so I have a pretty good idea.
