pumping a diesel engine December 06, 2015 02:38AM
Just curious as to the procedure and equipment necessary to accurately pump a diesel engine.

Just remove an injector, find B.D.C. And fill cylinder with fuel/oil measuring oil as it goes in or out. I used to use a CC pump now just use a measured breaker
And electric pump. We have a cc chart for different CID engines, it gets really close. Some people follow at TDC and then go to BDC to be exact
Then you can even find compression. But that may be a little to revealing for
People. If you have any questions call me. I have made several test kits that are scattered around the Midwest.
