I would think 5.9 parts would be easy to find. Look in any diesel truck magazine ,call Haisleys, Columbus Diesel, or just do a Google search. |

I agree talk to Brad for conversion parts. Great guy to deal with. It is a pretty easy swap. I have a 2-70 I am in the process of doing now.
For engine parts just look to the truck pullers.Check out their forums. The little cummins to truck pulling is what the small block chevy is to drag racing. |

What is the weight of your pro farm class?
Our pro farm class is 9500 and 10000 i believe and wonder if a 1650 rear end would be heavy enough o\for that weight class and pulling in road gear? |

also most pro farm classes have 466 or 510 or 540 cubic inch limits. not going to be very competitive with a 5.9 you would be better off using the 8.3 |

OL1955 My question was serious. Do you think that a 1650 rear end and trans could hold up in a 10200 pro farm class if a person had an engine in one? |

I would use a larger rear end out of a 1850. I'm not saying the 1650 won't work, but you won't have any issues keeping the tractor under 10000 and it's a 4 spider pressure lubed rear end. A much better option in my opinion. |

a 1650 would be strong enough with a 5.9 in front of it at 10,000 lb i would think. but like oliver 12v said an 1850 would be better / stronger |

Just keep in mind horsepower, speed, and tire size all play into keeping the rear end happy. I have seen several two spider setups take big power. We have a 5.9 hooked to a 1850 rear making 4 digit power. When I bend the stick it's good piece of mind to know it's a 4 spider setup. |
Re: Help with Oliver puller

Four digit power power ain't a big deal, In tractor pulling its the four digit torque, and when your running a b series cummins you better be running against 400 cube motors because it will not hang with anything bigger. Awesome motor but it still doesn't have the stroke to hang with the bigger motors. We ran a 706 with a common rail and would not hang with the 466s. |

Well it looks like back to the drawling board. Would like to build a pulling tractor but would like to do it with a tractor that i already have that doesn't owe me anything. That 1650 we have we don't use it very often so seemed like the best candidate.
Where is the best place to get information on oliver pulling stuff? Hydra-power set up engine to use and everything along those lines? Im from the mid west their is no oliver pullers around here would be nice to see something other than deeres an IH |
