Can a international bd264 engine be put in a 460. I have been told that the crank center line is higher on the bd engines and therefore they won't work in the tractor but have not been able to confirm this. I am working on a 460 puller and have a good truck engine I would like to use. Thanks for the help.

I mated one to an h rear end and used 460 sheet metal. The crank centerline is about a quarter inch higher n the truck motor. Made a pretty good puller, I pull in second gear and run around 6 mph. Pull 4000 and 4500.

Did you use a 460 rear plate or did you make one

I redrilled the backplate from the h. Used a 460 clutch and flywheel.
