Indoor pulls and sandpiles
|
Judging by pictures, it seems like indoor pulls are adapting a floating finish. Is there a need to have tractors climb the sand piles to get extra footage? How about backing up a "full pull" line 10-20ft before the piles? |

AMEN!!! Wouldn't have to spend half the shows fishing them out of the sand and fixing pipes. |

it's going to happen on a short track if the building was 100 foot longer there would be enough room to have a full pull and shut down, but it's not |

Not bad

Ok so if your referring to just gordyville I was there, half the show wasn't spent fishing tractors out of the sand pile, ya it took a few minutes to fix the pipe. The tractors on the other hand not so much most of the time they were just starting tractors when they were pulling the other off track and a little more warm up time certainly doesn't hurt these tractors! |

Although planting the tractor in the sand gets the crowd to cheer, it is NOT what it is there for. The sled should be set so the only tractor to touch it is one who was pulling a malfunctioning sled. I was not in Gordy this year, but it sounds like the sand pile is evolving from a safety necessity to a tool to stimulate fans. Ultimately, the pullers will need to decide if the resulting sand intake and possible breakage are worth it. Although they are happy to see an exciting show, the spectators and promoters don't foot those bills! |

Every puller has the option of letting out before the sandpile..... Did anyone else notice that VERY FEW ever let out?!?!?! Did the complainers that were there not hear the majority of the crowd roar when a tractor hit the sand??? Its in a pullers blood to win. Sometimes winning involves the sand pile. I have yet to hear a puller complain about climbing the sandpile to take a class victory. Awesome weekend pull at Gordyville, Klint Tucker! Pullers had fun, most fans as always enjoyed it and thanks to Justin Stuckenschneider, Bob Barbee and everyone else, over $21,000 was raised for the Wounded Warrior Foundation. |

If that's your angle I'd think you'd be more upset about the majority of people living better off unemployment and welfare than most of these small brained farmers you are talking about. Or how bout your career politicians whose guaranteed lifetime yearly pensions are insane? Or do you just have a jealousy problem and like to b&^%$ from your computer? |

Slow mo

Can you imagine, if it was actually tractor pulling and not drag race pulling. Hook these new high hp tractors up to an old real mechanical sled. Bet none of them could play in the sand box, heck 3/4 of them probably couldn't even get the sled started. Indoor pulling is kinda boring with no smoke to watch. They have to get to the sand pile, or it just becomes a big indoor drinking party. Oh wait, it already was that. |
