Here is your run down on the 2016 Turtle Lake Inter-County Fair Truck & Tractor Pulls

Both events take place on Saturday, July 9th

Both events have FREE admission so bring the whole family and have a blast at the fair all day.

TRACTOR PULL - 12:00pm

Farm - 7000, 9000, 12500, 15000, 18000, Unlimited

Hot Farm - 5500, 6500, 7500, 9000, 10500, 11500, 13000

Modified - 5300, 5500, 6500

Open - 6200, 7500, 8500, 9500

Why are there no classes for Improved Farm weight classes -10,500 or 11,500 # with a turbo size 2.8 Turbo ???
They had it at Baldwin was a smoke class . No P -Pumps allowed ONLY A-Pumps & No CUT tires !

There are only a few Open Class Tractors left in this area -- They are now with NTPA.
The only smoke you are going to have is "Improved Farm" !

Here's one answer right now...Al Thill. He's been running that pull for...what...40 yrs??? Thinks he knows everything about it, cuz years ago he pulled and stripped down tractors to only 1 front wheel, no tinwork, took fenders off....oh, he knows how to get a bigger hp tractor into a lighter class. Then when his kids starts pulling they ran all over with a 4020 all stripped down then moved on to their 4440. Blowing an orange cone 2 feet high and smoke 30'! Pulling in D3. All that was fair. Now he owns the freaking pull. It's time he and Gary Solum get out of each others pockets and step down and let some younger guys work it.

If either of the last two posters would like to discuss the tractor pull further, fell free to contact me at the info below.

My name is Matt and between myself and Tony, we are starting the fall pull with trucks/tractors and we currently help run the truck pull on fair weekend.
The classes are what they are. They have worked the last number of years since we have went to a larger tractor show. Hot farm gives us plenty of smoke and the open classes don't just apply to "open" or "NTPA" type tractors, anyone can pull in an open class so it opens things up to pro farm, hot farm, super farm, etc.

Improved Farm is a class that doesn't exist over much of the state so its something we haven't looked at. If they had good numbers at Baldwin, then we could certainly consider that for the fall event.

As far as Al and Gary go, they have put our pulls on the map and have done so with countless years of donated time and effort. You won't find two better people when it comes to tractor pulling. So again, call me if you want to discuss this pull further.

No class for our "Improved Farm Tractors " so we are going to River Falls . They have classes !!!
Maybe you should have one of your buddies go to that pull .. They have a awesome pull for years . Championship Pulling started the class a about 8 years ago. The tractors are out there . If you would let pullers know you will have a class .... they will come !

Weigh 10,500 & 11,500 # No Cut Tires . A pump only. ( NO P Pumps ) Stock appearing . 20.8 x 38 Tires.

The Turtle Lake Inter-County Fair Tractor Pull will be adding the following classes:

9500 & 11000 Improved Farm

Rules will be similar to those used at Baldwin
