The best thing I have found (NOT SAFE but works) Gasoline. Remove thermostat, fill with gasoline, run a few minutes and drain. Have done it a lot of times with no problems. MACK |

Use half of a box of cascade dishwasher powder soap run for a few hours and flush and then do it again! Did this on a semi and worked great! Dawn will create to many bubbles! |

cascade and a small amount of dawn works great as mentioned. make sure you run it hot enough to open the t-stat for awhile. then flush good and fill with water and run at temp for awhile again. how the water looks when you drain each time will tell you how many flushes you need. |

The soap makes sense. It immulsifies oil. Basically means it surrounds the oil particles so it can be washed away. That's how it washes your hands and clothes clean. |

Calgon water softener works good we put lots of oil coolers in Detroit Diesels there are also some system cleaners at your parts houses. It takes awhile to get all the oil out. |
