Is anyone using these 30.5s seems cheap.

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 12, 2016 06:30AM
The new ones are in the process of getting measured and weighed.Changes have been made from the old ones.the reason they are cheaper is that with the new owner,he doesn't feel like he needs to make $5000 a pair.
8 ply and 10 ply available.

If you want pics let me know.Remember they go up $400 Jan 1st.This is not going to be a quarterly increase thing like Firestone has done in the past.

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 12, 2016 10:23AM
So what would a set of 24.5x32 cost? Thanks

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 12, 2016 10:29AM
Right now $8025 cut,hardened,and stretched$400 more Jan 1st

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 12, 2016 10:33AM
Will they work with out cutting them or hardened? And are these better than the parks pullers that everyone is trying to dump? And are they made with the over seas rubber that cracks and dry rots in a couple years or same rubber as Firestones? Thanks.

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 13, 2016 01:56AM
For ?????.As for the rubber compound. The early ones had a softer rubber compound which were known to crack in the sidewall which were unable to harden like others.(some tires are like this)Now they have a harder rubber compound in it that is comparable with Firestone as far as durometer test.
Running them uncut would be like running a Firestone Puller 2000 uncut. You will get down the track but....

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 13, 2016 01:45AM
So does parkes not own or manufacture them, did they sell them to someone if so who?

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 13, 2016 02:01AM
Bob Parks put alot of work and money in this tire.He deserves the credit on giving Firestone some competition.Which is needed in this sport. All I will say is the manufacturer sold it to Bruce Doctor in Nebraska. He has been in the tire business for 25 years and didn't want to give up on what Bob started.

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 12, 2016 11:11AM
Do these have pro puller or parks on the side? Herd most of these are the old junk parks

Tire Dump November 12, 2016 01:29PM
There's a place in Eagleville, Tn that is accepting Parkes tires if anyone is looking to dump them.

pretty sure cody lives there

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 13, 2016 02:12AM
The new ones have Pro puller on the side. There are some with Parks on the side with some of the changes made.(not many but there are some)I have a few of them)There is quite a difference between the old and the new. Here are some differences. The new ones have a crown.(old ones the center dipped down.Old ones 3/8 max bar height with cords showing.New ones we cut at .400 with no cords.Old ones the rubber compound differed from 75 to 85 from side to side. It's all consistent now.Old ones there was a circumference difference.New ones are all close to 210"Hope this helps

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 25, 2016 04:00PM
Where are these tires manufactured?

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 26, 2016 12:45AM
India for now

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 27, 2016 12:46AM
Well that is disappointing

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 27, 2016 01:12AM
At this time, the Pro Puller Tires are being manufactured in India. Attempts are being made to move manufacturing to the USA but there are a few hurdles that need to be jumped before that can happen.

First off, the size of the puller tire market compared to the volume of regular tractor tires is very small, so finding anyone that wants to build such a small quantity is tough.

When volume is small, the cost per tire goes up. This is why the price on the current tires that pullers are running has skyrocketed. Making a new tire that is affordable needs to be a consideration.

The next issue is that the tire "world" is rapidly moving from bias tires to radials, so the manufactures that are interested in building a puller tire, are asking if a radial would work (would it?).

In the mean time, the tires are being manufactured in India, and until there is a workable USA solution, the best that can be done is to continue to improve the quality and consistency of where the tires are being manufactured.

Many changes have been made from the original tire that came out of India, so as far as quality and performance at a good price, the tires are getting much better.

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 27, 2016 10:21AM
What would The Donald say?

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 27, 2016 02:14PM
Our hope is that "the Don", and the pulling world will love what we are trying to get done.

So many companies have moved away from U.S. manufacturing, and we are trying to get our's back to the States.

What's sad is the fact that there are foreign companies begging to do the manufacturing, and it's hard to find companies here that are excited about what we are trying to do.

In the mean time, we are continuing to improve the product that we have, with the hopes of a move.

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 27, 2016 02:51PM
Is that the same place all the junk tires came from back in the good ol coop-Nebraska tire days Bruce

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 28, 2016 04:57PM
Tire Town in Leavenworth Kansas was the dealer that received all of the seconds from Titan and Firestone.
The tires had to have the name brand buffed from the sidewall so that everyone knew that the tires were blems.
Nebraska Tire had a great working relationship with Tire Town, and bought a huge portion of that inventory over a 20 year period.
There were several sets of blem Puller 2000's that were sold over about a 4 year period while Firestone was first building the tire.
That contract changed about 10 years ago when both manufactures decided there was too much liability, and started destroying the tires.
Blems have been hard to come by since that time, and in some cases, the tires called blems were called blems for a reason, and wouldn't run.

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 29, 2016 10:14AM
I would guess that The Donald would look at fair labor and wage policies just like India is doing with China..... And then impose an import tariff.....

Industry report from yesterday:

India's tire industry calls for action against imports

The Indian tire industry is seeking safeguard measures against what it is calling "the surge of import truck and bus radial (TBR) tires" in the country. According to the latest statistics from the country’s Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association (ATMA), TBR imports have gone up by 30% in H1 FY 2017 against the year-ago period. Alleging that dumping of radial tires from China has reached unprecedented levels, the ATMA said TBR imports have crossed 140,000 units per month in FY 2017 from 40,000 units in FY 2014. Most of the recent investment by the Indian tire industry has been directed towards setting up TBR capacity since the segment is seen as a growth driver for the industry. Dumping of TBR tires has affected domestic capacity with utilization levels coming down to 60-65% from 80-85% a couple of years ago. Currently, more than 40% of the replacement demand for TBR in India is met by imports, while domestic capacity is declining, the industry group said. The ATMA added that TBR export prices from China are significantly lower than the price of the tires in the Chinese market. Import duties are also a factor with India paying a 25% duty on natural rubber and China paying a 7% duty to import tires into the country, the association said.

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 29, 2016 11:41AM
NO, the Donald would tell everyone else to make them in the USA then come out with his own brand if tires made in Bangladesh or where ever else he can get them made the cheapest (he'll still sell themfor a premium though). What the Donald says and what the Donald does are the complete opposite. He's already backtracking on THE WALL! and the whole YOU"D BE IN JAIL threat to Cankles (she should be in jail!) H'es just another turncoat liar that going to make himslef great at the expense of the average american. You'll soon see that he's just another lying liar, maybe the worst liar yet.

As for the tires being made in India, if they're; good quality, a good price, and a good product they will sell just fine and I'll buy a set.

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 29, 2016 03:40PM

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 27, 2016 05:44PM
The Pro Puller web site is propullertires.com.

Prices are posted on the site. The 24.5X32 and 30.5X32 sizes are $6,500/ pair (uncut), and are available now. Pairs of 20.8X38 are $4,000 (available this spring).

All tires are available through any cutter of your choice at the same price as we are offering them for. Prices will vary from cutter to cutter depending on the services you are requiring of them (cutting, hardening, mounting etc. etc.), and shipping costs will vary depending on where you are located.

You are welcome to come pick them up at Firth, Nebraska (15 miles south of Lincoln) and save shipping costs.

We travel to over 50 farm trade shows and will bring them free of delivery cost to any show that we are attending. We will also bring them to any tractor pull that we are attending at no cost for delivery.

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 28, 2016 03:58AM
Nice to hear how Bob Parke's is getting screwed over again. He was one of the first to revolutionize the cutting of pulling tires with a tire cutting machine. Helped in the development of pulling tires with Firestone, who screwed him over. Now it sounds like the company in India that he got to manufacture his design is selling his design to someone else. I'm glad that people are making money off of his ideas and designs. Nothing like putting the work into something, and seeing someone else profit from your work.

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 28, 2016 10:20AM
I would like to hear the explanation of how Bob got screwed by Firestone.
Bob has done nothing but to try to advance the sport. I just hope the tires that are coming from India are safe. The ones that have come over so far had defects (separations) visible in them.

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 28, 2016 11:10AM
Why wouldn't they be safe? Tires from India pass you on the interstate every day

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 29, 2016 10:36AM
Trying to figure out what are India produced other than Dunlops at the moment. Probably so but it was like what happened over the season as the tractors with the Firestones passed all the ones with the others on the track. I asked 2 competitors at BG why they were going back to their 'stones and the answer was unilateral "we want to win". That may be why the tractors from TN took then off, also.

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 29, 2016 03:38PM
Everything in this sport is a challenge. That's what makes it so interesting.

There are pullers every day that are taking off the Parkes tires and putting on the Stones, but there are a ton of the new Pro Pullers being sold every day that are replacing the Stones as well. Our hope is that through experience, we can find what it takes to be consistent as possible, in a game of inconsistencies.

We are selling the new Pro Puller tires as fast as we are getting them in, so you will see a lot more of them surface this year. The cutters know the tractors, the drivers, and tracks (as well as the drivers do in many cases), and if we are honest with our cutters and tell them what you are experiencing during your pull, your cutter will be more well advised as to what may help you succeed.

The biggest complaint I hear from cutters, is a driver that tells them that "the tires didn't work", and when the cutter asks what did you feel, the driver doesn't do a great job explaining what they really felt.

Believe me, the cutter wants you to succeed. That is what brings them more business. When you run a set of the Parkes tires, or a set of the new Pro Pullers, let us know what you feel. We are eager to find a solution so that you can join the winners circle. Help us develop a tire that will be consistent for you.

Re: Pro Puller Tires November 28, 2016 04:27PM
There are always 2, or 3... (or 4 or 5) sides to every story. Whichever story that anyone wants to believe (and we've heard enough for a short book!), makes for some good conversation in these months before the season swings into action again.

It is great to see the interest in this already "storied" tire that has been researched, invested in, tested, refined and proven to compete.

The ongoing changes, the upcoming new 20.8X38 size, the stories of success (and some of agony), have encouraged us to step up our dedication to this project.

Safety is a huge concern. The tire inspecting check points that are now in place have made huge strides in assuring that we will all have a tire that is safe to run.

We would encourage you to email or call if you have questions, and we will try our best to give you the information that we can, so you can make an informed decision if this tire is right for you.

Our web site is propullertires.com

Thanks!
