******NOTE******* RULE CHANGE We will allow cut tires in the Improved Farm Class

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 24, 2017 07:21AM
I just started pull Improved Farm. So far I have seen no cut Tires in the class.

I now pull Minnesota & some in Wisconsin . There rules are as follows;
A Pump, NO Cut Tires , Rops, Seat belt, 20.8 X 38 . No cut tires !

You have in your rules - 42 inch tires ? "WHY"

My questions is - Who is allowed in the class ?
What Injection pump are you going to allow ?

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 24, 2017 07:34AM
Any cube, any pump, just keep the charger 3". 38s or 42s are both fine. Cuts ain't always the ticket in this class.

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 24, 2017 07:59AM
Sounds like it's a Pro Farm class!! Not improved farm!

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 24, 2017 12:17PM
you well get to pull with the wild 6030 from Minnesota he don't need cut tires

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 25, 2017 03:51AM
I liked the rules they have for Improved Farm. I usually pull Farm the same weight as Improved Farm.
I like pulling with the guys around WI. Nice bunch of pullers.
But now "Someone" decides to change the rules in Glenwood City's Rustic Lore Days .
I don't think many will show up because I agree with "Another Puller" Is does sound like "Pro Farm Class".
Maybe you should put the rules back to what "Improved Farm Puller " said.
And I have seen the "Wild 6030 " in MN. pull no lack of power & as "WELL " said , He don't need cut tires !

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 25, 2017 05:33AM
Just make a pro farm class and improved farm class

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 25, 2017 08:14AM
Interesting topic... IMO the two classes should be combined at ALL the pulls anyway. The differences between the two is splitting hairs at best. Fans and pullers alike often get the two classes mixed up and confused which is bad for pulling.

2.8 vs 3in turbos??? Give me a break. A vs P pump is silly also. A good used P3000 injection pump is anywhere between $1500 and $1800, you need to pay more than that for an A pump that probably won't perform as well (unless you spend big money) and definitely won't be as durable. Cut tires.... I can see it both ways... Find a common ground on rules, put everyone together, combine the payout from the two classes and have fun. This is all my opinion of course, hopefully this kicks off a positive and adult like discussion.

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 25, 2017 08:46AM
A 1066 with a big model 100 rotary pump and a 2.8 turbo can not even come close to a pro farm tractor with a 3x3 and a P-pump. Improve stock is ment to be a class between speed limit farm stock and pro farm! Class is ment for IH tractors with rotary pump and John Deere tractor with A-pump. To many class is having 2 speed limit farm classes at this pull.

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 26, 2017 04:41AM
I chose to be the guy to bash this yr. Please keep the posts civil and respectful.

Please call or text with concerns and I will gladly talk with anyone about this yrs rules.

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 31, 2017 02:45AM
Just an update. Due to some concerns, we are adding a pro farm class. Rules will be updated soon

Imp farm will be up to an A pump. 2.8 charger, no cut tires.

Pro farm will be cuts, up to P pump, and 3x3. 9500 and a 10500 class.

Hopefully this will fit everyone in where they need to be. Thanks

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 31, 2017 02:07PM
I was excited for the after chore class. I wish more pulls would offer this class. However...I'm disappointed that the pay out has changed. I don't pay $25 for a trophy. We don't pull to get rich but a $50, 40, 30 pay out, at least the possibility of getting your hook fee back if you place... is great.

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 26, 2017 03:46AM
We are going to try to have a meeting this weekend and work on some of the things you have brought to our attention please watch for updates thanks for your support

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 26, 2017 03:59AM
Hey Roger how about you and your trash talking son step down and maybe this pull would be ran professionally and would actually be a fun pull to go to again
You guys have wrecked this pull and everyone knows it

Just a thought

Travis

.....

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 31, 2017 04:38PM
First off, Dillan doesn't have anything to do with the pull, or how its ran.
Second off, Roger has done a very good job advertising these pulls. And the Glenwood pull was smooth as butter.
Third off, have any of you guys even talked to Dillan or Roger in person?
Fourth off, I have never seen an improved class that allows cut tires or non factory p7100 pumps. If you want to build a P pump engine to pull then go to hot farm or pro farm. If your building a tractor for a class and already know the rules for the vast majority of pulls then why would you be surprised they are in place? What is confusing about 466ci limit 3x3 turbo or 3x2.8, 20.8 38 tires and limited to an A pump? Nothing.

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 26, 2017 04:25AM
As stated in the rules, Please contact Morgan Krueger for any questions or issues about any of the rules.

Thank you

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 26, 2017 01:40PM
Travis,
Don't rip on Roger for trying to put on a good pull. I've heard that he has been working to get equipment and helpers lined up to do the track work. I've seen him at a few pulls handing out fliers to bring pullers in and I've also heard that he is working at finding more sponsors. From what I've heard, he isn't in charge of the rules so why call him out and why bring his son into it? Sounds like a personal problem to me. FYI this pull is supposed to be about raising funds for the FFA Alumni to help the FFA kids so lets try to be above the nasty comments.

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 27, 2017 03:57AM
Travis,
I just want to bring it to your attention that i have literally nothing to do with any of the rules decisions or classes posted for the pull. I'm not even a member of the FFA alumni. Yes, my father is a member and as far as rules decisions i do not think he had much to do with it and that is why you see Mr. Krueger's number listed for the contacts and not mine or my father's. All i do at or for this pull is help with setup then Brad Mounce and myself run the leveler bars on the track. Myself, my family and friends donate a lot of time and equipment to this pull, and i don't see anyone else stepping up to do what we do for free. I don't know who you are, but if you have an issue with me i'm not a hard person to find, come talk to me, i'm pretty easy going. I just wanted to point out the misconception occurring here.
Dillan McGee.

Hey Dillan July 27, 2017 04:14PM
I was reading this and just had to comment on your post Dillan...your not a trash talker??? Funny how you can go and talk trash about me and the FFA pull in River Falls when I'm not on Facebook in the first place and funny how both our pulls Saturday and Sunday we're a huge success this year!!! Maybe next time you wanna run your mouth how about you be a man and call me

Frogman

Aren't you the same cat who tried to hose someone on a motor on here last year? Seems like you were pretty hard to find then.

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 30, 2017 01:24PM
If you have a problem with the pull then don't go or talk to the superiors and try to work something out. And travis do you have a reason to insult people who donate their time and equipment with nothing in return. I am not even from glenwood yet I still find myself running a leveling bar after I am done pulling every year simply because I like to see a good show and I myself know what it's like to be in need of help at the home town pull. So if you can't be the bigger person and not broadcast your problems with individuals on a forum meant to be for tractor pulling, not name calling.

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 30, 2017 03:05PM
Leave my son out of this! I made the engine deal right!

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 30, 2017 03:10PM
And THIS is why most places use an ORGINIZATION with published rules in place to put on events!
This is a train wreck in the making!

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 31, 2017 05:33AM
We had a meeting to address your concerns and feel the best resolution would be to put the improved farm class back to NO cut tires and add a Pro Farm class. ProFarm class will be 9500# and 10500#. Please see the original rules post for the Pro Farm rules.

Thank you

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 31, 2017 05:38AM
Pay outs are also posted.

Re: Glenwood City Allumni tractor pull rules July 31, 2017 06:17AM
