451 Case HP? April 25, 2012 11:46AM
I was just wondering what kind of horsepower I can expect from a new farm stock setup? We are running a 451bdt from a 1175 with about 375cc of fuel running through 120 lines and 4x22 injectors. It is a 3000 rpm class and will be running a TO4 factory charger for a 2670 limited to a 2.31 also have a 3LM466 I am going to try. Any input is greatly appreciated Thanks Morgans for the great site!!!!! P.S. this is a stock engine with no head work or any cam work.

The 3LM-466 will be the better charger over the TO4, I'd put the 3LM on right away & forget the TO4.

I am from SW Wisconsin If you go to Badgerland Sanity Pullers they have a website you can google it. They have a list of all their upcoming pulls for the season and they have all classes and the rules as a whole and broke down as to how each class is setup

It was a new class that kinda got put together last year. Last year there was only a handful we are hopefull this year to pick up a few more tractors, as well the whole orginization was new in 2011. It has had issues with growing pains as some rules have been set that not everyone can agree with. The board is just trying to keep it so with some of the classes that an average farm tractor can still come and compete. I am sure you know what I am talking about if you had looked at their website. As for tractors last year we had a couple of 4020's, a 666, 8000 and our 930 we would pickup other tractors from time to time. If you have any questions you can give me a call 608-739-2691 Jason

We are actually limited to 451 we had this motor already so that is why we used it I would of rather decubed a 504 myself but when that is what you have you use it. A 504 is in the future though hopefully sooner than later!!!

If a intercooler was offered by a manufacturer not neccesarily with that model engine you are currently running you can install it on your engine however there cannot be any modifications in order to install it on the engine it must be installed according with factory specs

If you can find heads from a loader or industrial app, most have the big injector on the 451's.

Hello moline,cockshut guy are you talking about old payloader case and what kind of industrial engine you talking about? When you say big injectors do you mean like the later 504's have on them? Or are you still talking about pencil tip injectors? I've got an 1175 I pull with right now and only the 451 engine with a 3lm466 charger and 1370 injectors. want to go to a 504 but would like information on big injector 451 engines?? Appreciate any help!

Big injectors like the 504, that's the only 451's that had big injectors, not the pencil injectors. They are very hard to find.

I have a Case 451 and a 504.. Trying to sell, can't figure out the HP for either.

The 451 was taken out of a running tractor and it turns and has great compression.

The 504 is a rebuilt long block and has everything minus an oil pan. It's been wrapped in plastic in our warehouse, just trying to get a little more information on both if anyone can help. Thanks!

TRY A CASE EXCOVATOR 2080 HAVE 504S, WOULD BE GOOD IDEA PUT FIRER RINGS IN IT,PUT SPEED LIMITS ON UR CLASSES AND U WONT NEED ALL THAT POWER JUSTA STRONG MOTOR THAN U WILL HAVE ENOUGH HOOKERS TO MAKE A FAIR PULL J M O

take those big fuel lines off of it. that pump is not big enough. it will run better with stock fuel lines. during dino testing with abig a pump 850cc we gained 40 hp dropping back to 93 lines.the center of your injector matches that line.

Not meaning to change the topic but how much is involved to remove the cab from a 1070 Case to prep for a farm stock puller or better just to find a open station ?
