5.9 cummins into a 7020 allis July 19, 2017 11:55AM
looking for any info on such a swap. the original motor sheared the camshaft key and became a parts donor. was hoping maybe someone had tried putting a 5.9 in one of these. the 301 in a 7020 allis was not their best feature.

What is needed on that dt 466 to do the job

Re: 5.9 cummins into a 7020 allis July 21, 2017 02:24PM
Take the back plate off the Allis motor and transfer the bolt holes from dt466 back plate, and make a seal holder for Allis back plate to use dt466 seal . U can use the dt466 flywheel, just need to transfer the studs from Allis flywheel and use Allis starter ring from flywheel so you can use Allis starter. You will need to make a pipe for bottom radiator hose to cross over sides. You will use the Allis fan, just redrill bolt holes . Make 2 motor mounts for front of motor. I'll try to upload pic when I get home
