88 Oliver stroker parts November 30, 2015 03:39PM
Wondering if anyone has anything in the way of 88 stroker parts they want to sell. Looking for something up to an inch of stroke. I have M@W sleeves that I plan on boring to 4" I can get a 5" crank done for $600 so please consider that in your reply. ph.5zero7-8two5-2zero7nine

I sure wouldn't expect someone to sell me a 5" crank for less than 600, and I sure wouldn't trust someone to stroke a 88 crank a inch for 600.

Years ago I had a couple cranks stroked for a good deal like that. In the long run, I should have just lit the cash on fire, it would have been less work, and I wouldn't have ruined a couple good stock cranks.

They did a 1 1/2 inch stroke crank for my CC Case. That was 10 years ago, it hasn't always been treated nice and hasn't given a problem. BTW it's 12 to 1 compression. Maybe you are paying too much for your cranks. I know about 77 rods and can put a set up together. Just thought someone might have gone bigger and had a reciprocating assembly they wanted to sell

If you can get a new one done for $600, your kidding yourself looking for somone else's hand me downs for any less. I'd like to have that shops contact myself.

Stock 77 rods will work with that setup, if you machine the rod journals on the crank to fit (2 inch I believe, the 88 ones are a little bigger). If going that way, you'll need to machine the barrel of the camshaft down for clearance, as well as grind the rod caps and bolts for clearance.
